One thing that I do for small random things is that I save salsa, pasta, pickle ect. jars and clean them, paint the lid, usually Matt black, and fill them with interesting things with a nice mix of textures. They sell every time and don’t cost me anything to do.

I’ve noticed vintages hankies are selling at our co-op. I work the front register. Also, sterling silver jewelry and tools. I make repair/reuse jewelry grab bags and they do pretty well. It helps me move the less sellable jewelry I get in lots. Crafters will reuse the beads- it’s a good way to save nice beads. Small bags or $3 to $5. I invested in a heat sealer so I can easily seal small plastic bags. Loved this video!! Great information. Thank you.

My booth is located in Utah (I'm Nevada) kicked butt all year. Have a difficult time selling alcohol related items but did sell a cooler. Mcm Head vases, uranium glass, Pyrex, camping and old toys, old license plates and clean good sneakers all did wonderful last year. Smalls, i bag up unopened happy meals toys with the box, plastic bag it and sell them for 6-10$. I bag up old matchbox cars, colorful kitchen utensils, pillows & throws are kept priced reasonably. Cameras and old radios do very well also. Side note: if your going to sell license plates, please wash them in soapy water and dry well, enclose them in a plastic sleeve/ tape ( those things can stink!) I also type and print out information on an item if needed ( cameras 35mm) or if something has a history and its interesting!

It's always good to see what sells in different parts of the country, thanks for sharing☺! I have always been big on smalls- I do sell bigger higher dollar things, but love my smalls. Most of mine are $10 or less. I have been selling quite a few books and pictures too.

Great video Christina - thanks for posting this. I have a small space in an Antique shop in Fairbanks, Alaska (Blue Door Antiques). Everything you said would apply to us up here in the middle of Alaska too. Smalls, brass, pictures, grab bags, dog and cat items, uranium glass, and an item you didn't mention- Stickers ! For me personally - in addition to what I mentioned, I did well with hand knit and other wool sweaters afgans and wool blankets. I work one or two days at the cash register and wrapped up quite a bit of colored glassware too. Clear glassware sitting makes me very sad as I have a ton of it that I inherited from my Mother-in-law that I would like to sell. But hearing about milk glass makes me Happy as I have some of that too. I think you are so right in saying that we need to help our customers see how to use some of these items as not everyone is as creative as we are :).

Hey Christina, great meeting you today on my trip up from Toledo! Smalls are definitely king in my area too. It's been a harder turn for us at You-nique Bou-tique, as we only sold women's fashion for 15 years. So moving into this upcycled home decor and vintage and painted furniture world is a whole new learning curve but I am having fun and has given me a shot in the arm for my own creativity. Can't wait to delve into my box of goodies from your booth today!

I agree, here in western PA, smalls sell! I sell small bags of miniatures too and they sell steadily. I also bagged up excess craft supplies and some of those sold. Painted furniture did not sell at all, still trying to move the pieces I have and won't buy more. Paintings and framed prints started selling quickly. Never sold well before so trends do change. Hoping that's so with painted furniture this year. Anything brass sells well if you can find it. Thank you for the info you share in your videos. It's very helpful. I plan to promote my vintage booth with a new website and KZbin videos (a little nervous) but why not!

I don't have a booth, but I am a reseller. Rare vintage Pyrex sells well, but you must do your research because not all Pyrex does well. Also, it needs to be in good shape (no chips or strong hazing). Vintage Christmas and Halloween are good sellers, but the same as above (research and condition). In addition, 1980s are beginning to trend.

Down here in the Deep South we are seeing a renewed interest in uranium glass that took me by surprise. We sell a lot of pieces at prices I would not have expected. Colored vintage swung vases are very popular along with vintage stretch vases. We also sell alot of vintage Fenton and Imperial Bells. Anything pretty and colorful tends to go for really good prices. Glass is not my favorite thing to sell due to the risk of breakage, but it does well so we sell it. Milk glass hasn't realized the same interest here as its colorful counterpart. Another popular item has been Snoopy items. I bought someone's collection and was surprised to find it had such value. Vintage toys in general sell well and I am always looking for them. I have to admit I enjoy helping people relive some of their childhood memories and it is fun to see the toys in my booth until they sell. Our booths are stocked with a hodge podge of other things because who knows what the next person in will be looking to buy. Junk bags people can see into sell a bit, but grab bags are a bust here. I suspect it is due to too many sellers offering low value in their bags so people are afraid to risk it. I have had to mark mine down in an effort to clear them out. I personally love a good grab bag, but I can see their point after having bought some that weren't worth the bag they came in.

I saw a pretty good collection of Uranium glass yesterday in a real junk store, in a small town. There were about a dozen small pieces. Their prices come down monthly. I'm not that crazy about it for myself, but it was a great price. I have to go back next Saturday, and may pick up a few pieces. I did find a Hobnail Ice Bucket for $5 at the flea market, and have a new found love for milk glass. It's everywhere here in Florida. I too, love grab bags...I love to craft. Brass is big here too.

Smalls and walls selling here in South Carolina. Clear glass is a waste of space. Our mall manager has a rule: absolutely no zipper plastic bags. Even if I staple a topper across the zipper. I get around it by buying archival poly sleeves. Thanks for the tips. Oh, I sold one end table in December. Furniture used to fly out. Now it sits.

Two reasons I think people buy them is if they like to paint or draw they use the illustrations as reference and also it’s a big trend for baby showers , people will be instructed to bring a child’s book, they specify either new or old , instead of a card.

My son and I have 2 booths near Dallas - one upscale, one trendy. Agree with all listed in your video but havent tried uranium glass. Also instead of grab bags i do everything in this basket is $1 each. I get rid of smalls that i have that havent sold in a while. We also do well with crystal and English teacups/saucers - sell yearound. Unique items, such as large ceramic cat or set of decorative knight statues sell almost immediately. Things you dont see everywhere. Small artwork has been selling quickly. We try to do fun groupings, such as a collection of french or english themed items. Love your videos - keep it up!

Thoroughly enjoying your channel😊 I have quite a bit of uranium glass in my shop, while seemingly popular…I need to showcase it better:) Regarding the “dogs”, what’s your price point, my collection is priced $5-$8 each and just not selling. In my “tightwad” area increasing numbers of buyers are image searching EVERYTHING….only purchasing items they can flip. Had a woman yesterday in my large shop/booth image searching for 30 minutes….Also,I’ve heard from others..that unscrupulous resellers/flippers are photographing high end items from other’s shops and posting the items on eBay auctions…if the items sell, then the unscrupulous reseller/flipper will buy your item….and send it off to new buyer😡 Details welcomed…. If you have additional info on exactly how these scammers are operating?! A Reseller I know….his expensive vintage advertising signs that are in his shop were showing up on eBay auctions for sale…..(very easily identifiable, age and wear/damage marks).😡 Disclaimer….”unscrupulous” being the key word! Thank you….good video😊you always provide useful information:)
