Hold on. Doctors used to masturbate women with vibrators for "hysteria" which covered headaches to nervous breakdowns. The doctors discovered orgasms were a cure for all women from all walks of lives. I'm an actual historian who has covered this era of history quite extensively and can tell you the Victorians were not as prudish as the books let on.

@@formwiz7096 - You would be surprised. In those days many so-called "experts" even challenged the idea that heterosexuals enjoying sex within marriage, as opposed to seeing it solely as a procreative duty to be endured, were suffering from "perversion". Granted, you had an unhealthy dose of religion informing many peoples' ideas on the subject. Victorian prudishness was also, in many ways, a reactionary response to the comparatively relaxed attitude towards sex during the earlier Regency, when people were seen as enjoying sex too much.

The comment about Romans, Egyptians and Greeks is inaccurate historically, they were more open minded (pre-Christianity) but there were multiple rules/traditions about sex.

@@moonstone4475 I think the word “wild sex” should not be taken literally. The vlogger is right. Wild because there were no written rules. Age with minor was common, among others.
