This song reminds me of a girl that I loved for 18 years. Claire Flick, I love you. I have always loved you and miss your endearing laugh. Those times we danced and skipped in the snow. Our childhoods refracted in the purity of that passion. And, though we went our separate ways sincd I moved, I have never stopped loving you. Here is a poem I have dedicated to your memory. An Ethereal Godess: Whose Fortune Are My Heart Throes By John Hale Lo, the halls of my foyer, Diminish to wandering nothing- My future now dissevered, Rotten to the ushering. I am an enigmatic fool, My blunderings replete me, My poems are beauty whirled, Left to empty extremities! I wonder on the luminance, Of high heaven hopes! Where a benighted raven dances- A roman numeral emblemed A succor gives fragrance- Hither she comes to me, Envisioned in empyreal desire, Fare beauty in eminence A phoenix to lend me suffice, A love to guide my will, As fire burns life twice, She is my cursed blessing still Alas, the light hath vanished, And all my additions, too; No mansion of promise; A trampled shack of twlight through. Impoverished ans down-trodden, My earnest mood contrives; My love besmirched and sodden- I, the mud, for foot to devise. I, the stamped, and I, the shamed, My heart to command, My whole to blame. Seeded, my courage for dark wonders To curl in her personage- Were I her hair and lover. But, murmurs are naught, But yearnings pining for the wrought- A gilded armor conditions nothing, For sorrow storms my purity. Indifference comes in numb- The pangs of a love once thought; My warm art outwon, By a treacherous night in pallid chart. Lady of darkened strands, Whose symmetry, Venus envies- Skin belike alabaster; Resounding a heavenly finality. Thou art my death and life- And rends my blood to wrest- Struggling for art and yet, Smiles my torment for a heart- To still me to peace and part.
