What Should I Buy? A Box of 78 RPM Records or a Disk-Go Case Full of 45s? SHELLAC or VINYL?

I had a good number of those Disc Go Cases when I was a kid. Housed my 50's thru 70's 45's collection. Quite the potpourri in there, Chris! I'm a fan of looking at 45's 🎶😎

Glad you got package and I hope customs didn't charge you. I am not getting into 78 rpm records - don't need heavy fragile records and a big old-fashioned Victrola.

The condition of these records look very scratched. While 78s tend to be a bit tougher they are not in sleeves which not a good sign. With some 78s if there is early Jazz that's worth a punt. Condition is key here. If you don't want to ruin your stylus go by this. If it's not in a sleeve leave alone.

My guess is more of those will find their way back to a thrift store than remain in your collection. I get to spend Election Day driving, going to a dentist, and trading rekkids away. A distraction is just the ticket, along with Xanax, for this day.

Yes, the problems of buying a whole lot for a few good records is you get to deal with a lot of duds.
