Great basket ❤ One thing I do with cabbage is, chop in large bite size pieces. Blanch and dehydrate. It's wonderful in soups and stews. Takes up very little space and is self stable 😊

Hi Renee! Such a wonderful veggie box this week. So many recipes you can do with this the variety veggies and deconstructed stuffed cabbage soup for those chilly days. I like to make brussel sprouts with a little balsamic vinegar or onions and bacon sautéed with it. I hope everyone has a very blessed night!

Not to intrude? Last year I boiled 68 corn cobs for 6 hours. Then I removed the cobs and boiled for another 4 hrs. Then I strained out any bits and canned it as Corn Syrup. To me it was no where near thick! But I am sure it is as close as I was willing to take it! Out of all that water? I got down to 2 quarts.

Such a beautiful veggie box. My husband never liked Brussels sprouts until I started roasting them in the oven and he really likes those. I literally just sliced my last cucumber of the season. I hate that,I love cucumbers. Here in upstate SC our summer gardens are just about done .

@@pikecreekfarm a lot here depends on the intensity of insect and disease pressure which is pretty bad here in the south. I still have okra, cantaloupe and peppers going strong. Just planted broccoli, cauliflower, turnips and some peas . But yes frost will get the okra, peppers and melons for sure.

@@pikecreekfarm I don’t have a recipe in general in amounts. But this is what I put in mine . Cornmeal, flour..( just a little) if use all purpose will need baking powder to help them fluff/rise, onion, parsley, any spice you like, we like stuff spicy. So I use slap you mamma seasoning a lot and add in chopped up jalapeño, to 1-3 cups okra,Depends on how much I have.. added in an egg and milk … I eyeball it. Kind of like making cornbread but a little thicker.
@Simplyinspried2 ай бұрын
@@danniemcdonald7675 I use link sausage. I use a hot sausage because we like spice. But have made it using all kind of link sausage. Depends on what I have on hand.
