Personally I think the blue skirting looks just beautiful. I would never change it. Too many decals can be a pain in the a*** because in a few years they start peeling and look like sh**

We have the same brush ! I would start with the red seats as they make the van look darker and dated and would make more of a noticable difference. You can get cheap covers on Temu to test out some colours. I like the blue, but doesn't go well with the rest of the silver so bumpers wold be better matched to that colour or similar. It will be a nightmare wrapping all the bumpers without peeling and probably better to spray them. A cool new channel logo on the sides and back tyre cover would be good or full back spare tyre delete so your not advertising for Oaktree or Ecotree. I agrre that some decals would break up the white and make it look more interesting. 22" alloy wheels with those off road tyres would look nice too ! 👍🏻

Evening Darren, maybe consider plastidip spraying. You can choose any colour you want and as it peels off you don't damage anything underneath and can change as often as you want. See dip your car (DYC) channel for inspiration.

Burstner did do models of that era with the lower colour in a red similar to the interior colour ... looks very smart. Wrap the bottom and get new subtle decals in the same vein as original but colours to match the bottom.. Some of those lower panels are already wrapped I think, the other parts are colour impregnated plastic ... hence the slight colour difference.

I would get the parts on your motorhome professionally sprayed Darren. Don't go for wrapping low down on any vehicle, it will over time start to peel and will be constantly prone to stone chips. Plus when your washing it with that long handled brush you could accidently catch and damage the wrapping with the plastic edges of the brush !

Just a small comment, having spent 40 + years in the motor trade always start your wash with a roof and then the muck runs downwards if you do your roof last all the Mark ends up down the sides.😅

Wrapped the whole van chrome or gold. With red/burgundy bumpers to match interior. Spray bumpers and get pot of touch up paint at the same time of them for chips.

Grey sounds good, but i would do the cab, too. Darren has a lot more expense, but more than 2 colours will look odd. i would paint yes its permanent, but it will look better close up. However you overlooked your wheel trims, maybe go grey too or matt black, or they will stand out like a sore thumb.

Darren don't change a thing the van looks just great with those subtle graphics. Keep your money for a rainy day. You don't want to stand out more than you do when stealth camping. Give the van a good make over and ceramic coat. When the van gets scratched and dented in future you won't fret about the new paint job. Just saying. Negative comments are only an opinion so just keep doing what you know best it just works mate.

Hi Darren. Wrapping for sure. Easy to keep clean and keep in good condition. I use Screwfix no nonsense lubricating oil 750ml to keep the wrapp supple. Clive

Definately wrap the skirt, that way if you change your mind it's easy to change the colour again. When you come to sell it, you can take whatever wrap you have on and put it back to standard colours.

Hi Daz. I've got a full three colour wrap on mine. It's been three years now. Still looks good from 20 foot away. It is more fragile than paint though. Makes me proper wince when bushes e.t.c rub the side, it will leave fine marks that you cannot polish out. Also you have to be careful when washing it. There are however plenty of up sides.

The best motorhome I have ever owned was The Rimor 727TC on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis with the 2.9 TD engine the garage was massive carried my Suzuki GSKR 1000 around easily in the garage and A framed my car on the back so had the best of all worlds.

For ceramic coating have a word with PP Protect (Richard Steele) and he would also advise on what order to do thins regarding wrap or spray for body trim. For wrap/graphics may be Roaming Radfords can give good advice. I like the idea of gun metal grey. Best of luck

Wrap every time. The plastic skirting never really takes a respray and I think I’m right in saying it needs special flexible paint to prevent cracking. The experts at Oaktree should steer you in the right direction. I’m having the sides of my motorhome wrapped in March as my paintwork has oxidised and the quotes to just respray both sides were mind- blowing.

We agree that you should definitely go with a grey or silver for all your trims and personally I would go with a spray job rather than wrap. Doing some kind of decal all along the sides will be cool 👍. Do you think Oaktree would mind you getting rid of their sticker on the side seeing as you have a larger one on the back AND the spare wheel cover advert too? I’m a fan of the contour lines of hills and mountains from a map decal but definitely NOT a compass or mountains 🤪. If you want to practice cleaning the motorhome feel free to pop round and you can do ours 😂😂😂😂

Shadow worx Weston super mare could wrap the bottom in graffiti gray in a couple off days spraying will take a lot longer and the back lights would look brilliant in gray

Good morning Darren, Paula and I have just watched your video, On the naked side where you have the large expanse of white, it might be nice to have a forest scene with a prominent large oak tree which could lend its support to sponsoring Oak tree motorhomes. We also think that changing the blue for a gunmetal grey 🩶 is a good idea. The decal behind the cab on the side is curved so as to take away the square effect of the motor home body. Keep up the good work we are in stitches laughing with you, hopefully bump into you again soon.

The outside looks Ok to me, it’s your interior is dated and could do with a face lift. I got my 2015 Elddis Autoquest 175 interior doors etc. wrapped because I got the same feelings as you. Get it wrapped then when you get bored, it can be removed and changed. I’m debating on getting the seating re-upholstered next. It’s a lot cheaper than changing your motorhome Daz Didn’t see any ladders, so yet another roof wash been neglected. 😂😂😂

It’s your home and of course do as you wish with it. To me it seems you are constantly adding tat and ‘cheapying ’ the motor home. You seem to waste money. If you feel you need to do these things for views that fair enough because you’re clearly running out of video ideas. It must be hard constantly having to think of things to post.
