I wouldn't say we benefitted from slavery but those times produced several "Black" inventors, stone masons, carpenters, blacksmith's, scientists, prolific orators, entertainers, musicians, business people, etc. A good percentage of the slaves excelled inspite of the conditions they lived under.

U lying. Show receipts
@ahfimiwonawun Жыл бұрын
@@diamondapbt1 , you can find the curriculum online. It’s free for everyone to read. On top of that, the people responsible for creating it have put out examples of what they meant. Horrible examples where they cited fictional people like john henry, george washington’s wife, who was a white woman, Black People who were never enslaved etc., They laid bare their stupidity on the matter. Their stated purpose was to show that there were enslaved Black People who learned skills from their experience of enslavement that they later somehow parlayed into something “beneficial “. That’s actually not the worst of it to me. It’s been getting all the press, but what really disturbed me was the part of the curriculum where they’re gonna be teaching about those massacres of Black People in towns like Tulsa, Rosewood & Ocoee as involving “perpetrators of violence” who were white AND African-American. It’s highly problematic to describe the white mass murderers the same way as the people who were trying to defend themselves from extermination. Sounded very much to me like they were gonna try to blame Black People for white people murdering them. I saw in the curriculum where they’re gonna be teaching about the jewish holocaust. There was slavery & pogroms(extermination of jews from towns) in the jewish holocaust. But I didn’t see anywhere in the curriculum where they’re gonna be teaching that jews who went through the holocaust learned skills from it that benefited them and I didn’t see where they’re gonna be teaching about jews who were exterminated as also being “perpetrators of violence” along with the nazis.

@ahfimiwonawun, so without slavery they would be nothing just stupidpeople, is that what you're saying?
@ahfimiwonawun Жыл бұрын
@@roybabineaux5353, that curriculum is basically saying things I’ve heard from white racist trolls online for decades. It’s in line with old racist teachings from back during slavery where they used to promote that chattel slavery under whites was better for Black People than freedom in the “wilds of Africa”; like they were doing them a favor by kidnapping them, enslaving them, torturing them, mutilating them, molesting & raping them their whole short lives. But ultimately, it’s not about what I’m saying. The curriculum is online for everyone in the world to look over.

Why is it called a theory when it's the truth? The theory title makes people dismiss the whole concept in this headline driven world. The fact that this is STILL an issue is only because America, or states being accountable, won't address the History. The world acts like history doesn't matter when it comes to us, but, for instance, Israel and the Islamic history is supposed to override ours and be promoted and treated differently?
@meechoreezo470 Жыл бұрын
Address real black history. Blacks enslaved blacks sold us to the whites. The whites taught us how to cook,read,farm,build. Then they freed us cuz we couldn't do it ourselves. We rebuild and created our own businesses Then lost everything and now blame everyone for it.

You have to know where things come from and why they are the way they are. You’d be surprised but if you go to the wrong country you’ll know what it’s like to be treated as a “nigga” With that said it’s important to know your history so you can identify it in real time when it occurs. Not knowing is what causes a lot of confusion for bi racial kids. They grow up thinking they’re non black until they meet the friends who parents don’t like black people. Or when they’re reminded by whites they aren’t white. Most radical pro blacks thats I’ve met were “light” complexion 😂
