Extend Randle and keep him. There is no one comparable to him in trade market and Knicks will regret if they trade him. These guys gotta watch the playoffs more. Knicks lack size and another scorer besides Brunson against the Sixers and Pacers. Knicks missing the above without Randle. Randle is All Star player that is irreplaceable at the 4 spot. No other trade that can replace his scoring and size. Knicks can go small with Randle at 5 spot if game goes in that direction with Brunson, Hart, Divencencio, OG/McBride and Randle

This is simple…you run it back with Randle and see how things go. If Randle is hustling at both ends of the floor and playing like he did before he got hurt you keep him…if he doesn’t and/or he does but has the bad body language he gets when things aren’t going his way…he trade him. He is an asset. Don’t trade the asset unless necessary. Randle gets too much criticism. He is a beast.

Randle didnt "go out" at the trade...after the trade with Randle, Brunson, and OG they went 14 - 2 and were the winningest team in the league that month. Contractually they are in a bind based on what the lose in Randle vs what they get back. To me the best move, if possible, is Bogdonavich, another role player and three picks for Mikal Bridges. The Knicks would then have two 20 ppg scorers, two elite 3&D (OG and Bridges) players that can guard 1 - 4, and score 15 ppg, and still have Hart, DiVincenzo and Robinson..that would be a tough, contending 9 man rotation..

The Knicks need to trade for Donovan Mitchell or execute a sign and trade for Paul George. If he decides to leave Los Angeles, we need another bonafide scorer to combine with Brunson. We also have the greatest assets to complete a trade this summer. My starting 5 would be Robison, Og, Hart, Mitchell, and Brunson, or Robinson, Og, George, DiVicenzo, and Brunson.

Memphis Gets-Julius Randle & Mamadi Diakite Knicks Get- Marcus Smart, John Konchar & Derrick Rose Knicks can pair Marcus Smart with Brunson as their backcourt. Derrick Rose plays his last year under Thibbs and John Konchar would be a bench shooter that can contribute. I think this trade benefits both teams. Makes Memphis a mega contender for next year and Makes The Knicks a contender as well.. Marcus Smart under Thibbs I see big things.

Marcus Smart is basically the only guy who would get regular minutes in NY rotation in this trade. Konchar and Rose wouldn't even get minutes or fit with current lineup. Knicks need wing or front court much more. And sure I think Marcus Smart fits the team great but also Miles McBride is a similar role and affect on game at backup PG for Knicks and is already signed and cheap. So this is never going to happen. And definitely not at this price. Knicks would want GG Jackson or Santi Aldama etc much more than the guards. Also Randle is just worth a lot more than this return. Smart, Jackson, Aldama, and a 1st round pick and maybe you're talking....

As a Knick fan, I agree. It's just the media spin. All of mainstream media huddled up and decided it was better for views/clicks to go with the "Thibs had no choice but to run his players into the ground" narrative. In reality, the Knicks were beaten by a better coach who actually used the roster his front office provided for him. If Thibs didn't wear out Hart and OG, the Knicks would still be playing. But that's a take that would hurt our widdle feelings.
