Hahaha yeah I am surprised there hasn't been anything put on the PTR yet. In shadowlands it was from a quest to kill raid bosses (any difficulty), but I wonder if they will include M+ dungeon completions this time around as well, or maybe something entirely different?

Currently there’s a weekly m+ quest to do 4 dungeons for 2 bullion. No other known source as of my typing this.

Seal of Diurna question, does it proc more often if you have more sources of fire damage? For example if my Prot warrior has the frost fire belt and the head enchant for fire damage will it prod twice as much? And for VDH will it proc a lot more since they have fire damage abilities, and Flare Cowl and possibly the head enchant?

It has an ICD, so you just need enough consistent fire damage to proc it on that cooldown. This just means for classes without their own sources of fire damage they need either an embellishment, trinket, etc. Flaring Cowl was actually good enough on its own to proc the rings for example, since its just constant pulsing damage. Frostfire Belt on its own wasn't enough iirc, but my guess is a mixture of the belt, shadowflame embellishments, and the head enchant like you said will be more than enough to proc it on the ICD.

very nice guide with cool explainations from your point of view regarding the different scenarios. BUT! You've missed one class out for tanking. It'd the Blood Deathknight. As a blood DK i used Ashkandur, Fall of the Brotherhood as my main weapon While now i used the two hander from DOTI cuzu i still didnt get the Fyrakk Axe yet

Yeah I skipped over BDK weapon because you likely won't want to waste Bullions on other weapons when you can get a legendary drop. With building bad luck protection and the ability to go back and do the current difficulty Amirdrassil with more ilvl I expect a lot of people will get it relatively quickly into S4 that don't have it currently.

You can get the upgrade material for the legendary from bullion aswell, just something to keep in mind here.

Thanks nice guide. What do you think about the allmaster totem for guardians? Saw I vid which is in algebra on 10% Dmg in pulls, but none mentions this trinket in videos ☺️😭😂

The trinket is entirely passive which is nice, and performs very well in AoE (which algethar has a lot of) however it has some issues. First it's a random proc, so you're kind of at the mercy of getting the right proc at the right time to get offensive value out of it. At the same time, it's even harder to get defensive value out of it, so while it does add something in that department the randomness drastically reduces the value. On top of that it's pretty bad in terms of ST damage output, which is much more important in M+ than a lot of people give it credit for. While this was a great trinket back in S1, there's just so many options now that you're better off taking one of them instead. If you want something that does just as much (if not more damage) while also being consistent in how much damage and defense it provides from run to run, I'd check out the Kazzara trinket!

What second trinket do you think it will be best to pair up with rageheart as VDH?

Depends on what you're doing, for push keys most people will probably still opt for the cheat death, but if you're not pushing you could do Augury for passive damage, grieftorch if you dont mind double on-use, or even incarnate icon (or Chromatic essence if 2 other people are wearing different stats) for a passive stat boost to help both offensively and defensively.

Is Decoration of Flame as a defensive trinket an option, or is it just not as good as Rageheart?

I'd say it's worse than Rageheart and even the reworked Nokhud trinket honestly.

Essentially, especially because all these trinkets are post-nerf (beacon caught a decent one right before S3). If you want a big nuke trinket grieftorch is just the better option, it gives primary stat and has the ability to reset. Neltharion trinkets are still solid for a lot of DPS specs but for tanks not so much, at least in my testing.

I think i might be going with a Ward of Faceless Ire instead of the Tainted Rageheart on my tanks. The same CD, similar* size shield, but being able to use it on-demand on my allies seems like it would provide insane value, especially since DPS are going to be running beacon/belor'relos in high keys with boss totems, ect.

Ward is definitely looking like a solid option for sure, especially if we start getting into another 1-shot type meta on higher keys. Having an external from the tank role is just super nice!

For blood DK the Splinter from Brackenhide is ok What you are really aiming for is: Augury of the Primal Flame because crit and it chunks pretty good on a crit haste build and you should be aiming for at least 28% crit anyway. Fyrakk's Tainted Rageheart is the other trinket you want. Yes it got a nerf but it is still just free damage on your defensive CD Now normally as a Blood DK we don't need a defensive trinket until like M+22 and above, but since we should all have the legendary by now there is gonna be about 6 seconds of no ability use every time we use the legendary CD. You pop your Rage Heart On Use right before your legendary On Use and you have nothing to worry about. Lastly we consider that it is a vers trinket, if you are building stats correctly then you will have at least 28% crit and 30% haste and 60% mastery, that doesn't leave a lot of room for vers stat and you will be sitting at likely 7%-14% vers. This trinket will be a decent percentage of versatility as well. In summation: For Blood DK, the only trinkets that really matter are Augury and Rageheart

Won't Guardian also just be wearing the Flaring Cowl as a consistent source of fire damage as well? the crafted helm that pulses fire damage to all nearby enemies every 2-3 seconds or whatever, maybe it's 5 seconds, Idk, but it's just passive fire damage for existing.

Flaring Cowl got too big of a nerf after S1 for Guardian druids to justify playing it, on top of that the helm enchant from Amirdrassil gives decent coverage on its own, so having maybe 1 other source of fire damage will be enough for bears to get the ring procs they need.

Didn't touch on what trinkets would proc the rings, also as a non-mythic raider, what order would you spend your Bullions?

Essentially anything that deals fire or shadowflame damage will proc the rings, so most of the trinkets I mentioned haha. In terms of order it kind of depends what spec you are, but usually Weapons are a good first choice, then depending how desperate you are for trinkets you can grab a good one or opt to just get the rings and then finish with trinkets.

Fire damage is dealt by the Head enchant anyways, so for the ring proc you dont need to have an outsource damage. ( for tanks and melee dps)

Helm enchant will definitely help a lot of specs, not 100% sure it's enough on its own to proc the rings on their ICD though but maybe!

I really liked Anvil in s2. Is it still decent? i always found it nicer to play around than signet

Its definitely still solid, easier to maintain than signet in dungeons but will do less damage if you're able to maintain both (or not able to maintain either). That being said trinkets like rageheart output pretty similar damage on top of having defensive upside, which definitely hurts anvil a bit.

Have you tried Kurog tank trinket? It was good in S1 and if it scales pretty nice with ilvl could be insane.

I've tested it a bit, it's a nice purely passive option that just seems to do decent in all situations but doesn't really shine either. It was nice in S1 because of the lack of other options, but with everything available now I think it gets overshadowed a bit.

isnt the sarkareth bomb trinket also useful for totem bosses like brackenhide and uldaman maybe azure vault and others

I think any time you'd want to use the Sarkareth bomb trinket you'd just use Grieftorch instead. Similar damage (if there's more targets it actually does better prio target damage since it doesn't split), it gives primary stat instead of mastery, and it has the possibility to reset.

Both beacon and branch are in similar spots where they're just worse Grieftorches, so if you had the choice you'd just opt to pick that up instead of either.

Yep still a very powerful trinket, goes to show how strong it was before the nerf haha.

trinket: whispering incarnate icon had been nerfed by 844 versa in pala prot (crit in retri). It's still good, but 4% less stats.

Yeah even post nerf it's still an extremely powerful option, the nerf just opens the door slightly for Chromatic Essence if a couple other people are also using it on different stats.

I don't know how bullions work, but my idea for my BDK is to buy Fyrakk's Rageheart as soon as I can and then farming for the Dreadplates to start pushing, and swap that to Storm-Eater's Boon when I'm conficdent enough As for weapons, I should really start farming bad luck protection and get Fyrakk's axe

Unfortunately no, you can use immunities to survive in case anything lands on you, but even those don't allow you to move. Only thing I know of that let you move are blink like effects (like transcend for brew) and potentially leaps I actually don't remember if those work.

After the nerfs to icon it's now definitely an option, though you probably need 2 other players in the party doing different stats than you are to make it better than a solo icon for most tank specs.

The one reason I don't like Rashan, is the fact you randomly TAKE damage. I feel that adds up. for this reason, I took the other one. Even tho it's stats are not great, And may be less damage. I like having a weapon that isn't siphoning my helth randomly, and I can use it with CDS for guanrenteed damage.

Treemouths was a great option in S2 because of the lack of other good alternatives imo, but S4 has a ton of choices. Personally I'd take both Rageheart and the reworked Nokhud trinket over Treemouths.

Big problem with S4, almost none of the dungeons offer anything good via trinkets and weapons (except for VDH), so the dinars are basically required for all of the trinkets every tank will want. BAD design.

Yeah dungeon trinkets this patch for tanks definitely feel lacking. The reworked Nokhud trinket can probably hold most people off until much later to get Rageheart, but other than that all the cool and powerful trinkets are from raid as you said.

I really Hope as a tank player, Signet Brand and augery are going to be mid, extremely rng trinkets in raid and in my opinion arent fun to use, would love to see some grief torch action and storm action but double on use is cursed.

In raid I'm guessing it'll be Grieftorch + X, probably augery on shorter fights or if your spec is good with it, Signet brand on longer fights, and Rageheart if you want the absorb, though that does put you in the double on use situation haha.

Problem with the rings is that classes are very unbalanced on terms of sources of firedamage (if you don’t run rageheart)

Yep, luckily though there are enough sources out there through trinkets, weapon procs, and embellishments that any spec will be able to proc them on their ICD, but some specs (like Guardian for example) will need to put a bit more effort in than others for sure.

I think there are just better options than treemouth honestly. If you were thinking of using treemouths you may as well use Rageheart, the reworked Nokhud trinket, or the Ward of Faceless Ire, as all of them can accomplish the same thing with more upside in other areas.
