Cotton is my all time favourite yarn to work with, partly because it's what I started out with. I dislike stretchy yarns, because it just feels like it stretches out of proportion so easily! I mostly use cotton for my projects, be it amigurumi, bags or spring/summer clothes! For autumn/winter clothes, I use merino wool blend (blend because it's not strong on its own) because it can easily get -30°c where I live!

PSA about the stretching- gravity can cause cotton to stretch/sag BADLY depending on how much yarn is in your project ❤

It depends on what you're making. Scarves, granny squares, toys, mug cozies and coasters can be out of any yarn you want. Dishcloths are best made out of cotton. Many experienced makers prefer using animal fibers (but it can be pricey). Acrylic and polyester, on the other hand, are very affordable and guilt-free in case you decide you don’t enjoy knitting/crochet.

Tell more about Cotton King yarns 😞 I bought like about $90 dollars worth of them yarns and it has been for me the BIGGEST nightmare ever! because of the threads 🧵, or was it called , ply threads 🧵? Oh it’s just awful! When I try to knit 🧶 or crochet 🧶 with that horrible yarn it doesn’t let me because it’s ply threads are 4 thinner yarns considered to be a one single yarn. Why does Cotton King make yarn threads like that? If I would’ve knows I would’ve not gotten so many of them. A true waste of time and money for me cause they are all just sitting there 😡 for years me not know what to do with them. I want them but not like that.😡
