Domestic 45l and Jackery 1000. This unit will run the fridge at 38 degrees for 125+ hours unaided. Backup have a 100w solar panel that would feed the Jackery and my Jeep battery. This works great for me. Went with the 45l because I felt it was the best overall compromise of space and power consumption. No regrets so far.

I’ve been using the same one for about a year now, I get about 4-5 days off the Jackery 1000, less if you’re making ice. Great fridge.

using the cfx55im for the last few months camping. It is definately a great unit especially when we're out in the desert on a multiple night camp. the old standard coolers werent cutting it. picked up the dometic at a great price as someone on amazon screwed up and it was listed for about 3 hours at 40% of the normal price. Tried using it with my bluetti ac50s and it worked ok to begin with running off solar all day then the battery only at night, biggest issue was that it did not get all the way through the night. It would completely drain the bluetti after about 9 hours. Managed to figure out out that that the ice maker draws a ton of juice, turned it off and difference was huge. Now there is still over 50% lef tin bluettin in the morning. we can pretty much run indefinate as long there is a bit of sun....

Got my CFX3 55 IM last April... went on a 4day camping trip and it’s nice that we don’t need to worry about ice and the app is nice . Those extra battery would be perfect match for it🤣😁

I ordered the CF3 55IM from a company on Amazon but they sent the wrong product (an outdoor mat?). It took 10 weeks before they finally refunded the cost. So I went to a local shop (4 Wheel Parts) and got an ARB Zero 40Qt, in 5 days!! It works great with my Jackery 500, drains 60% in 24 hours at 4 degrees temperature. But I do plug in the Jackery into my Gladiator while driving so keeping it charged in no problem. Loving it!

Got the same dometic battery for a year now, it’s been great, will keep the fridge going for almost 2 days. Buy a fridge cover, it really helps with power consumption. Buy solar panels, I have a solar blanket and most work with battery I have read. Battery charges really quick and at 8kg compared to by 30kg deep cycle ….well deep cycle has been sold

You don't really need a fridge to cool water. A terracotta jug using evaporative cooling will free up fridge space while camped.

I have the 75DZW and slider mounted on a Goose Gear platform and it takes up the entire passenger side of the cargo bay. I run it with a Gold Zero 1000 connected to a 75 watt solar panel mounted up top. I can still sleep on the 40 percent side but the fridge wakes me up every time it turns on! No I'm not getting a roof top tent.

I can't speak for theh long term of the CFX55 but i've had my CFX28 for 3 years and no issues. Mind you I never have really spilled anything in it, and usually food is stowed in packaging or containers.

I run my Plb40 with a cfx3 45 the same exact way and it has been fantastic. Plb charges while vehicle is on and when stopped, fridge is powered by Plb40. I also run a 130 w solar panel that has a plb40 specific connection from overland solar. Comes in handy when stopped for long periods of time.
