Just found your video, THANKYOU!!! I have a BX23S in Queensland Australia and I want to put a 5ft blade on but my Kubota agent says its too big which I think is BS. These machines are uncommon over here in fact my Kubota agent has never seen or sold one till I came along and he has been blown away with what it can handle, I showed him a pile of about 15 large stumps I dug out with Backhoe and he couldn't believe it!

Your welcome! It will handle a 5' scraper blade very well. If you want a box blade I would go with a 4.' These tractors are very impressive for their size. I'm surprised they are not more popular in Queensland. Maybe your salesman will be selling more now that he has seen what you have done with yours.

I run a Woods RBS60P on my JD 2025R. I mostly use it in the winter for snow removal along with a front-mounted J.D snowblower. I do have to use the shallower 5' angle to keep my tractor going straight and it clears my tire tracks. If I had chains on I might be able to use a greater angle but I don't know. Anyway, it's a great setup to get me through Maine winters. I also use the blade to smooth out the ruts in the Springtime, I have a gravel/dirt driveway.

Nice! If you want a good set of chains look for a set of net style chains. The have excellent lateral traction and they have a built in tensioner. Was the audio better on this video?

Bullitt, nice scraper blade information. Thanks for showing differences in scraper blades and how they would affect a smaller tractor. The shape, number of positional holes, etc. Good stuff, thanks.

All blades have a hp rating, make sure your tractor falls somewhere in-between those numbers, and 1' wider than the outside measurement of the rear wheels.

Great video thank you. Can you talk about the differing lengths of the top link and how it affects the pitch of the blade and what position is best for different applications?

Thanks Bullitt. I haven't bought yet, but I think I need to buy a box blade for around my place, first. Did you already do a box blade comparison video like this video. This video is down-right excellent. Your trailer comparison video was right on the money. I want a trailer but don't have trailer money, yet (chuckle).

I don't have a box blade video yet. That would be a good video with spring on the way. I'll try to do that in the next few weeks. You may also want to check into a land plane. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYCUZ5ygmMeVadU If you are kick the idea around of trailers check out Kaufman. www.kaufmantrailers.com/

Thanks Bullitt. I checked out that leveler which seems it did the trick. Kind of humorous when (Mr Clark) came out to see what all the ruckus was about. I looked at the trailer site a couple months ago when internet shopping. Thanks. Thanks for the subscribe and keep making those videos. Enjoy watching and they are good tips. Don

It depends what implements. 4' box blade, tiller, snow blower and rotary cutter. 5' scraper blade and rake.
@Masseyman-nv2kl

We have a Massey 1540 which was tuned to 50hp and it pulls like a beast and it could possibly take a 6ft blade but we just stick with a 5ft one but it does really depend on usage if you scrapping earth or clay you want horsepower but if your shifting stone or loose earth then you can get a bigger one on a smaller compact tractor!
@TractorTech
@TractorTech 6 жыл бұрын
Your tractor would handle a 6' very well. Is your tractor 50 pto or engine? What did you do to get the extra power, just turn the fuel up?

94BULLITT yeah it's a 50 gorse power engine but we hardly use the pto! And yeah we tuned her well to where black reek comes out👌

Excellent information, thank you! I am seriously considering the 7 ft. Woods blade you had in the vid, to share between both a 33HP and a 40HP tractor. Love that blade's design, but would it be too much for the 33HP?

I have a Yanmar SA424 which is a larger compact with big, weighted tires. I fear a 5' blade will not be sufficient for snow removal when you account for the angle. My tire width is just under 5' from outer edge to outer edge. So would you recommend a 6' Landspride blade? Only using it for snow removal. Nothing heavy duty.
@TractorTech
@TractorTech 3 жыл бұрын
A 6' blade would work good on that tractor. Get one with a rolled mold board so the snow will roll off of it. Another option if you have a loader is get a snow plow off of a truck and weld it to a quick attach plate.

@@TractorTech Thanks. I picked up a used (but great condition) Land Pride RB1572 this week. I also bought a 4x6 rubber horse stall mat (1' thick) that i plan on cutting into strips and sandwich those strips between the blades on the scrape to make a rubber squeegee for snow removal on asphalt.

Do you have a torch? Put the blade on the tractor and heat it where it tilts. Put a block of wood under the comer of the blade and raise and drop it fast with the tractor on the block of wood. If you don't have a torch then use some penetrating oil on it.

That is one implement I don't have and probably won't need it since my box blade can do most of the work I would use a blade like this for.

A 7' is a good blade for a l4600, 4701, the MX series and grand L. A 6' is good for a small L or large b, b3000, b3200, b3030, b2650, b3350.

I am thinking about the RB05 but also considering the RB15 because it weighs about 100 lbs more. May main use will be snow removal and occasionally spreading stone in a parking lot. Any thoughts about whether the extra weight is worth the extra cost.
