I was actually just pondering this today! As I was making book covers for a couple of gratitude journals, I was thinking about how those skills handily transfer to cartonnage. It’s a leveling up of those same skills to a grander scale.

Honestly I think almost every skill leads into another in some way. One specific example I can think of, is that one of the hobbies I've had since I was about 15, is making axe handles. The first time I had a go at hand crafting a longbow, I found the shaping and tooling so similar, that it came very naturally. I feel like once you have enough tool skills and eye for detail in enough disciplines, nothing really seems daunting any more.
