Maybe try a different yarn hook combo because I notice that sometimes a pattern turns out better and smoother if I change the yarn type. I don’t have an egg pattern so can’t give advice on that, I’m going to make up my own patterns mostly from now on because it looks like pattern designers have uped their prices and the exchange rate in Australia means it’s costing about 3 balls of parfait chunky yarn which is way to far now in this current economy
