I’m really interested in a virtual assistant especially from the Philippines. We lived there for 3 years when my husband was in the Navy Seabees.

What's your general rule thumb when it comes to promotion rate: 1. "We list a lot consistently, so we select a lower promoted rate. 2. Lower rate for higher sales through items; higher rate for slow movers. 3. We do whatever ebay suggest. Thanks "Jeff Saturday Morning Thrift Store 🌄"
@ResaleBrothers5 ай бұрын
Thanks, Jeff! Here’s how we usually approach it: We list a lot consistently, so we lean towards a lower promoted rate to keep costs down. Definitely agree with lower rates for items that sell well and bumping it up for the slow movers. Sometimes we’ll go with eBay’s suggestion if we’re unsure, but we usually tweak it based on our strategy. Appreciate the comment!

I think I saw in a video that you source from TJ Maxx sometimes. Have you heard of store managers selling entire pallets out of the backrooms?
@ResaleBrothers5 ай бұрын
Yes, we do source from TJ Maxx sometimes! We've heard of managers selling entire pallets, but it’s not something we’ve personally done yet. It’s definitely an interesting option, though, and could be a great way to get a lot of inventory at once. Have you tried sourcing that way before? We'd love to hear about your experience if you have!

What retail stores do you visit the most for retail arbitrage?
@ResaleBrothers5 ай бұрын
We visit a few different stores regularly for retail arbitrage, but some of our favorites include TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Ross. These stores often have great deals on brand-name items that resell well. We also keep an eye on clearance sections in places like Walmart and Target. It's all about being consistent and checking often to find the best deals!

I could be wrong, but I am 99% sure that the square lululemon logo actually means that that piece of clothing went through their “Like New” program. Where you can take your lulu pieces you don’t use or want anymore to a store and they’ll give you money for them. Then lululemon resales them for cheaper in their “Like New” program. And that’s when they add the square. They aren’t actually changing their logo.
@ResaleBrothers5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the insight! That makes a lot of sense, and it's good to know about the "Like New" program. We weren’t aware of the specific meaning behind the square logo, so we appreciate you sharing that information. It’s always great to learn something new in the reselling world!

Thank you for the video and all the insight that you guys offer into reselling! I do have a question: I've noticed, from watching your channel and a handful of others, that clothing resellers seem to do way more in sales on eBay than Poshmark and Mercari. I'm a fairly new reseller (around 2,000 items on Poshmark), and I'm looking to get eBay rolling. Thus far I've got about half my items cross-posted - but I'm not seeing the kind of numbers that I would expect from eBay. Can you point me towards the primary things that would be most worth my time to explore to increase sales on their site? They seem to have a massive amount of tools; it'd be nice to have some idea of the best place to start.
@ResaleBrothers5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re thrilled that you’re finding our videos helpful, and it’s great to hear that you’re diving into eBay! You’ve noticed something important-eBay can indeed be a powerful platform for clothing resellers, but it does take a bit of strategy to see those sales take off. Here are a few tips that should help boost your eBay sales: 1. **List Every Day:** - **Consistency is Key:** One of the most important things you can do on eBay is to list items daily. eBay’s algorithm favors active sellers, so even listing a few items each day can keep your store visible and drive more traffic to your listings. 2. **Promoted Listings:** - **Increase Visibility:** Using eBay’s Promoted Listings feature can make a big difference. We’ve found that promoting listings at around 7-10% helps our items get seen by more potential buyers. It’s a small investment that can significantly increase your sales. 3. **Offer Free Returns:** - **Build Buyer Confidence:** Offering free returns might seem like a risk, but it’s actually a great way to increase your conversion rate. Buyers are more likely to purchase when they know they can return an item easily if it doesn’t work out. It also gives you a boost in eBay’s search rankings. 4. **Optimize Your Listings:** - **Titles and Photos:** Make sure your titles are packed with relevant keywords and your photos are high-quality. Use all 12 photo slots to show every angle of your item. 5. **Competitive Pricing:** - **Research and Adjust:** Check out similar items on eBay to ensure your pricing is competitive. You can also use the "Best Offer" feature to give buyers some flexibility while still getting the price you want. 6. **Take Advantage of eBay Tools:** - **Use Seller Hub:** eBay’s Seller Hub offers a wealth of data and tools to help you track your performance and identify areas for improvement. - **Explore Promotions:** Use eBay’s promotions tools to run sales or offer discounts, which can help move inventory and boost sales. Starting on eBay can feel a bit overwhelming with all the options and tools available, but focusing on these key areas should help you see an improvement in your sales. Remember, consistency and optimization are the keys to success. If you have any more questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help! Wishing you much success on your reselling journey!

Hey guys, love the info. Wondering....do you remove retailer price tags on markdowns you pick up?
@ResaleBrothers5 ай бұрын
Hey! Glad you love the info. As for retailer price tags on markdowns, it depends. Sometimes we remove them, especially if they’re really marked down, but other times we leave them on if it shows the original price and adds value to the resale. It’s a bit of a judgment call. What about you? Do you leave them on or take them off?
@deannearensberg30225 ай бұрын
@@ResaleBrothers I agree, original tags def adds value. People want to feel like they got a deal and the markdown tags are kind of a bummer for buyers so I try to remove them. All GW tags come off for sure. Oh-and where has a yardstick been all my life???? Just cut photo/posting time down not fiddling with a tape measure. Again, thanks for the content. I appreciate the tips and laughs along the way.

Yes, we do use a crosslisting program-AutoPosher. It’s by far the best tool we’ve found for managing our listings across multiple platforms. One feature we particularly love is the “recreate” option, which has been incredibly effective in helping us sell old inventory. If you’re considering a crosslisting program, I highly recommend giving AutoPosher a try. Do you only do your old inventory on Auto Posher? and why?
@ResaleBrothers5 ай бұрын
We actually use Auto Posher for both old and new inventory. Using it for older items helps move stock that's been sitting for a while without having to resort to markdown sales by using the recreate feature. For new items, it helps increase visibility and boost initial sales by listings multi-platform. Overall, it's a great tool to keep our entire inventory active, fresh, and in front of potential buyers.
