stains on larger people clothes are down to posture when eating as their clothes are more forward then their mouths so it's a constant dangle over their clothes..I'm saying this is a 250 lb xxl dude...my eating tees are multicolored so it hides the spaghetti sauce or gravy etc....lol

Fair point, I also think it’s a volume thing. I eat about 3 times a day but if I ate say 10 I’d have a high chance to get a stain. 🤷‍♂️

@TaylorExchange well I keep my fivure on three meals but they're big meals...I don't think it's a case of 10 meals but big Mel's and unlimited buffet meals also..my friend who was 400 lbs would have buffet type meals so you ate till you were full more then second breakfasts and brunch, tea and supper.

@@TaylorExchange Selling cheaper stuff takes a lot of space. If you sold 5 items for $15 a piece, less profit. Buy 5 items for $30+ more profit. I used to buy everything that I sold $1 items, and they are still sitting after 2 years and they are listed $10-15. I started buying $6-10 items and selling $30-80, total game changer! I've changed from women's to men's. I rarely shop in the women's now, I shop in women's when passing time. I have found men's in women's racks, which is a plus.

Hello from Germany 🙂 ..when I come home with my found clothes I put them in the dryer for 5 minutes . That removes dust , hair and wrinkles that I don`t want in my house . Then fold or hang everything imediately and the most work is done , especially when there are still original tags on them 😀

I think you could expand asp by expanding your sourcing into hardware, even just smalls which require minimal storage but can offer maximum returns, universal remotes, hearing aids, sunglasses, alarm clocks, mice...small size but I'm getting an average of just under $50 asp when combined clothes and hardware...some mice going for over $100, universal remotes for $30 plus, hearing aids can be in the hundreds...you can store them in a draw or two.

@pjpreacher5246 I sell them too..but I sold three and one got returned as florida hates plastic..if they've been in the garage for a while the plastic buttons can break off when used again...but some fails can be capitalized for parts....the combos are good but take up soace..I sell them and receivers, pots and printers but I have the space...I can see thise larger items being reduced as my space fills...they get good returns but not massively compared to other items.

Isn’t there a big loss in revenue when you promote? eBay adds shipping cost and the taxes to the cost of the item BEFORE they take their 10% and then their 13.25% transaction fee. That’s a lot of cash for eBay and that cuts into your bottom line. If we promote we do 2%, but we don’t do it a lot.
@TaylorExchange

It’s definitely a hit to the profit but I just started and I’m moving a good amount of items. I’ll have more data at the end of the month and talk about it in March.
@lsgsrob2102
@lsgsrob2102 8 ай бұрын
I don’t think their is. You really have to remember that not all items will sell via promoted. A few weeks ago, I was curious about this question so I did the math and took my promoted listing sales(40%of all my sales for the month) and applied it across my total sales for the month and that percentage came out to an average if 1.88% “promoted” on every single item. I promote at the highest, 6.1%. The extra sales I get from promoting far outweighs the 1.88 cents per dollar it costs me to get them. My split is 60/40 organic to promoted, I think as long as your listing good quality items, not promoting to high and can keep your organic sales higher than your promoted sales, it’s more than worth it. Another big thing I’ve been saying for a while is that you need to make sure your charging enough in shipping to cover all back end expenses: fee’s, labels, storage, returns, tape, mailers, boxes, fuel, labor etc… i think a lot of sellers are losing thousands of dollars each year to this and not realizing it. Last year had I would’ve charged the exact amount that it costs for the label-to the customer, I would have lost just over $7k. I typically charge $2-$4 over what the actual label cost and that insures that all back end expenses are covered and very rarely do customer’s complain.

@@TaylorExchange I can relate a lot to you because my business kind of mirrors with yours and even more so since now your moving to more quality higher asp items. 2 years ago I had about a 3300-3500 active item store and couldn’t break 10 sales per day and my asp was under 20. Now I have 1250 active, $28 asp and 12-15 sales per day. I liquidated all the garbage down to a 300 item store and took all that cash and put it back into the best possible items. The biggest hill that I was stuck on and eventually got over was doubling my cost of goods. BUT it will pay off tremendously.

I recall when I was pregnant many moons ago I literally could not believe how often I got stains on my shirt! I know it may be offensive to the 4 x people that you made the comment , but I truly wish people could just understand that you weren’t being mean you were just stating a fact. I sometimes feel like our society has just become so offended. It’s just how it is. If your stomach is larger it’s gonna catch the falling food. I remember really being shocked by it all when I was pregnant. I was so ready to have a flat stomach again. That doesn’t mean someone who has a larger size is any less of a person or isn’t an amazing person it’s just stating facts.
