Western states are much bigger than eastern states. They will probably (eventually) start doing things like releasing "The Great Lakes" - MI, OH, IN, MN, WI all in one, or something like that.

Looking at the size of the western states, they're all 85K to 105K (ballpark) square miles. I think they'll bundle states to match a similar DLC size. So states like Louisiana/Arkansas will bundle and make a 100k sq mile DLC. I'm not sure they'd do more than that. Texas is taking a loooong time given it's monumental size. I've read SCS plans to have more mappers/asset developers/programmers coming on, but until that's a thing, I think they'll stick to the 100K square mile DLC size. That would work well for the southeast: Louisiana/Arkansas then Mississippi/Alabama then Georgia/Florida. Follow the same pattern right into the eastern seaboard/mountains: South and North Carolina. Tennessee/Kentucky. Virginia/West Virginia. That kind of pattern. I think there'll be single state DLC's for Kansas/Nebraska/South Dakota/North Dakota. After the team building those states finishes they'd move east. Bundles like: Missouri and Iowa, Illinois/Indiana, Wisconsin/Minnesota could follow. I just hope they get the US mainland completed before 2030. :/ Lotta states to fill in before that. And by then the game is what? 15 years old? Who knows if that's feasible.

Don’t think so. While smaller states, they like are more population dense, city dense and road dense than western states. More population centers and things per square mile.

Hey, I’m a very big American Truck Simulator enthusiast, and I also am trying to predict where ATS will expand next. I do not work for SCS software (I wish I did, so I can speed up the DLC making process), so all of this is just a guessing game. However, it’s fun to figure out the possibilities for the remaining states. Here is my take on what states can be by itself and which can be bundled together Texas 2022 - ATS is currently working on this for the past few years Montana 2022 or 2023 - Planned to release after Texas Oklahoma - Makes sense to be its own state once Texas is finished to go north Kansas - Still a big state, probably won’t be bundled with another state Nebraska - Same with Kansas North and South Dakota bundle - Makes sense to put these two together knowing there’s not too much going on with these two states. However, I can see these two states separated Arkansas Louisiana bundle - Small enough states to be combined to form a boot DLC Mississippi Alabama bundle - I think these two would make a good pair Georgia Florida bundle - Florida itself would be a very popular DLC. Who knows if they will add Walt Disney World? Also, Florida will be big and probably time consuming to make with a lot of cities although I think Georgia can be combined with Florida. Georgia has Atlanta and a few decent cities, but not much else going on Iowa Missouri bundle - Iowa won’t be too hard, and Missouri won’t be either. I think both can be combined Minnesota Wisconsin bundle - This to me is a little tricky. Due to the size of Minnesota, it can possibly be a state by itself. However, I can see it being bundled with Wisconsin. It depends on where SCS Software is in terms of progress. My bet is we won’t see these two states until around 2028 or 2029 Tennessee Kentucky bundle - Makes sense to put these two together. They have somewhat similar geography Illinois Indiana bundle - Chicago will be a heck of a beast to create. However, I think Illinois can be combined with Indiana as Indiana won’t be too hard to create North and South Carolina bundle - Makes sense to bundle these two states similar to North and South Dakota Michigan Ohio bundle - Both Rust Belt states. I see these two together with a lot of decent sized cities between the two West Virginia and Virginia bundle - Most likely these two states are combined. Once these two states are created, I think we will see things pick up dramatically in terms of remaining states production Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey bundle - Due to the smaller size, I do think that we have multiple states combined together in one DLC. I feel that you cannot have New Jersey without Pennsylvania. And you cannot have Delaware without Maryland New York - Creating New York City will be very challenging, so my guess is that this state can be a single state DLC. I also think this would be one of the most popular DLCs because who doesn’t want to drive a truck through New York City? Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine bundle - Due to size, I think it is likely that you can combine these states to form a “New England” bundle to conclude the contiguous United States Once all 48 states are done, I am predicting it will be around 2035 or 2036. By that time, all of us will be popping endless bottles of champagne knowing that SCS software has finally completed their goal of finishing the United States, and we can literally go to any state we want to

I agree 100% except I bet these eastern states will start being thrown in righr left and center as the SCS team gets larger and states get smaller!
@vtxcnme9506

Agree almost entirely with the bundle releases. I think South and North Dakota release separately as they are too big to combine (if you look at my 100K square mile rule above). I think MD/NJ/DE are one DLC that come prior to PA that will be it's own stand alone release (like New York will be). New England is 100% consolidated into one DLC. I am TERRIFIED to see how they do it. The states are so small, there are a lot of things in each state that will get left out at the current game scale.

Who knows they're not already developing some of these eastern states already? They just haven't made it public yet! I'm pretty sure they're expanding their team so... And at that I think they could start working together with ProMods to speed things up even more.

Crazy timing I legit was just contemplating what states I think would be next for ats literally 2 days ago. But my prediction is that after Texas and Montana they will put some states in one DLC and go up and down. So like North Dakota down to Oklahoma and then Minnesota down to Louisiana and keep that pattern

I’m gonna have to say North and South Dakota. It has to be those two. Reason being because North Dakota and south are apart of the Great Plains and South has Americas greatest wonders. Mount Rushmore. Also making note that the creators have made it to where the states are all connected to make loads possible in between the states. Doesn’t make sense to start releasing anything that is further east without anything within that direction already being released.

While smaller, eastern states are more road, city, and population dense. That density could result in eastern states not being bundled together. Notable exceptions would be the New England states and Delaware. Delaware will be easy.

Good question.... as far as I'm aware.... if you were to purchase Texas, but you don't have the New Mexico DLC, you will not be able to drive across the missing DLC. You should still be able to quick travel to Texas or purchase a garage and travel to it. You should be able to drive around in Texas, and take jobs available within Texas. Overall.... you can't drive across DLC's you don't own, but you should be able to take jobs in the DLC's you own... even if they are "isolated".

Hello and thanks for the video. I think, SCS will keep the system like she's started; that's mean From West to East, from top to down, or Vice versa Why? ItS easier to produce the country side, she will follow the big roads and junctions And yes, Canada and Mexico, but this all and Europe, it's too much, so that is a sharing with ProMods I suggest! The southern Region and the East is a lot difficult and need a lot of Manpower to realise the Maps and dLCs But, Louisiana and Florida will arrive soon, maybe in 2025

With the addition of quick travel, do you see them starting on the East coast right after Texas, and then fill in the middle states that connect the two down I-70 or a similar interstate?
@PrimeSimulation
@PrimeSimulation 2 жыл бұрын
It is possible.... but I'm not sure if SCS Software would want "2 separate areas" and/or just one connecting roads between them. Although it would be nice to have east coast states.... having to quick travel to them from the western side may not go over well for the hard-core simulation players. 😀
