Dr. Mona you look so much younger than 44, you certainly practice what you preach! Thank you for mentioning you have never had Botox nor fillers, that makes a big difference! There are so many "skin experts" on KZbin but after eagerly watching their videos, I find out their youthful skin is due to Botox, fillers, and/or surgery. I am very skeptical of injecting those chemicals in my skin! If I may suggest for future videos: I would like to see you beautiful ladies actually putting these creams/lotions on your face instead of your hand. The amounts seem so small to me, so I would like to see how you make it last. Thank you for all the helpful advice!

Im not a dermatologist but I see one on a regular basis and first off her vitamin C was orange which means its oxidated and vaseline?!!! My derm said that is not for eyes, it will cause milia 🤷🏻‍♀️
@hcccss12
@hcccss12 4 жыл бұрын
Twinietwin G when the vitamin c serum turns a deeper yellow or orange it does not mean it should be discarded. Oxidation in vitamin c means that there is less of a concentration to be delivered to the skin (assuming it is a 10% or higher formula). This is normal and will happen naturally to most vitamin cs formulations. The one she is using has 15% ferulic acid which is one of the higher stable concentrations on the market (highest I’ve seen is 20% of L-ascorbic acid). While oxidated vitamin c won’t deliver the same potency as a new bottle, it is still very beneficial to the skin even at a lower concentration. And yes, Vaseline can cause milia in certain skin types and some people are more prone to getting them than others. I’ve seen other dermatologists here on KZbin say Vaseline is fine for the skin (ones that comes to mind are Sandra Lee & Dr. Dray), particularly dry skin. Because the skin around your eyes is much thinner than the skin on the rest of your face, Vaseline could definitely be too heavy and cause milia. But given that this is actually part of her routine, I’m gonna guess that this works just fine for her. I am however shocked at the dove bar, my skin would be so dry.

Dove soap!!? I used it once and it felt great at first but soap essentially is not good to use as a facial cleanser. Most people with many steps of skincare routine starts with harsh cleanser like that which damage the skin barrier so they have to follow with 10 different serum and cream to put moisture barrier back on. It’s counterproductive and expensive. Invest in money and time to find a mild cleanser that cleanse well and doesn’t strip your skin, moisturizer that suits your skin type and sunscreen that’s confortable to wear everyday. Those 3 things contribute to healthy looking skin and if you feel fancy just go with the vitamin c serum.

Honey that’s a $1000 Skin care routine thanks for the tips but I’m 18 and don’t have $1000 a year for skin care, your girls going to stick with something cheaper. Mabel make something that is a little more realistic for the everyday person? I would appreciate it. I know you were asked to give what you use and you gave some great info but we ain’t all doctors.😂

Who but her can afford over $1000 just for your face? I'm older than her and I havent used nearly any of this crap and I look 30. No 9ne believes me when I tell my age. I think staying away from makeup and harsh chemical products drinking lots of pure water and eating well and getting adequate exercise will keep you looking young. Genes play a role too

Dove bar soap is disgusting. I prefer my skin squeaky clean after washing not greasy residue dove leaves behind

That’s just what you like. A lot don’t like squeaky clean feeling. Actually that can harm your skin barrier. Every one’s skin is different. I love Dove & after rinsing don’t feel greasy at all.

The doctor in this video is Egyptian American herself, so she’s definitely using products that are safe for skin of color.
