What Sticky Houseplants Leaves Mean / Not Good!

@healthyhouseplants You said to rinse the plant and treat with Neem oil. Does that mean wash the leaves with like water? Soap? Or wash with Neem oil somehow? And how do you apply the Neem? Spray bottle? Sorry for the basic questions, I’m a huge noobie!!

💚 I have a spider plant and just cannot rid it of scale. Got the scale spring of 2021!!! I've used DE over and over and Neem oil over and over again. Those nasty buggers seem to be in the soil now! It continues to shed sticky leaves. Now what?

Sharon Holmes, I will say that scale are the hardest pests to get rid of. I think because they are able to adhere so well to the leaves and stems. My suggestion would be to repot, but when you do, stripping the roots of all soil and rinsing them well and then spraying the plant with Neem (again!) and repotting, and during the process of repotting, checking all the foliage carefully. A lot of work, I know.
