What student protests say about US politics, Israel support

Nationwide campus protests in the United States against Israel’s war on Gaza continue to grow with security heightened near many campus encampments.
Hundreds of students filled a protest site at the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) in support of Palestine. The university has not responded to the specific demands. But it said it supports the rights of free speech in the community. Administrators also want to minimise disruption to teaching and classes.
Security around the encampment has increased in an effort to prevent congestion.
While protests have been largely peaceful, large counter protests are expected in the area in the coming days.
Al Jazeera’s team of correspondents are covering this story across the US.

That’s why Israel does not want Palestine to become its own state/country and give Palestine what was already Israel’s land for hundreds of years. The Palestines won’t be over their own for long bc they will be tortured, starved and worse by the gangs that would come in. Plus if Israel did agree to let them become their own then Israel is surrounded on all boarders by its enemies and gives up any of its ports it has now. Israel would have to pay Palestine money just to get goods shipped in to Israel which would go to gangs of terror. In all seriousness does this make sense as to why this is more of a strategic move by Israel to want to keep their land?
