I am with Sunny: "I didn't break it; don't ask me to fix it." I do give people 3 strikes before they are called out, but it sounds to me like Sunny had more patience than I do in that regard. Also, while they are striking away, I find it a bit exhausting because my tendency is to become wary after the first strike. That is, I find myself looking for the "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me" scenario. It may make me more biased - and on the other hand, it may just wake me up to greater awareness. Discernment is a wonderful gift we all have but it is often difficult to access effectively because we all still view the world through our individual lenses.

In 1982 I got a union weekend job at a hospital at age 16. I made $4.91 per hour when minimums $3.35. I paid for my own school lunches. I paid for a Spanish Class trip to Spain in a public school where I won the Spanish award at graduation. I bought my own used car to drove to community college which I paid for the first full year. At that time, I was going toe called an independent adult a year after HS graduation in 1984. Your buddy Reagan changed everything and all the rules changed. All my opportunities went into the shitcan and I was evaluated by my dad who had 8 kids, and then later to my husband. So I went to zero opportunities. It was a HUGE waste of potential of our first generation of Gen Xers. We were called slackers, but we had to go for cheap school or physical work or huge dept. Stupid investment in future taxpayers. By the time I divorced and was poor enough to qualify for grants, I had 10years til retirement. What a waste of taxes.

What a fascinating chat - it's the first of their podcasts i've watched - they're a great idea - it gives the hosts the opportunity to talk in more depth and more intimately. Sunny reveals some fascinating personal stories here, about the Bidens, and her friend. Sometimes you do have to reassess your friendships. And it's great to hear what she calls her inner nerd - please don't be coy about quoting Shakespeare and Lincoln. I'd call her an intelligent and cultured person rather than a nerd. You get an idea of what she's like in real life - honest, authentic and charming.

I live in Europe and enjoy watching your show. (which I've done for many years). The panel is excellent and the fact that each one shares their point of view harmoniously, is professional, entertaining and informative. All the panel members are exceptional, each in their own area. I dont want to be mean, or as they call them online, be a hater but in my opinion, Sunny Hostin is not in zync with the vibe of the program. While listening to this podcast, I just confirmed what I have observed on the program. Her opinions are often harsh and self centered and it comes through clearly that she thinks she knows more and is better than anyone, including her style which she brags about as being elegant and knowing about fashion. I felt compelled to share my opinion because like in today's episode (Oct1), she was making faces at Joy Behart's comments and just judging the opinions of the other panel members. Whoopi handled it beautifully. I think perhaps the audience's critical opinions can help improve her attitude, hence the program itself. Thanks
