Elliott Hulse Yo Elliott! I've just watched this video about what you read. I am just curious to know in the 4 years since this video has been published and especially after the break from YT you took how your reading taste/interests have changed. What do you read now in 2015/What are the Top 5 books 2015 version of Elliott would recommend? Thumbs up this comment if you also want to know!

Well about the mess... Albert Einstein said, "If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?"

But the opposite of cluttered is organized, so the saying is kinda flawed.

@TheJoeGetem Thank you! this has been one of the best compliments I've gotten... I really appreciate it. I find that the more expansive your studies, the more valid your position when asked, that is why I'll read The Bible & The Koran, etc. The most deplorable are those who have been force fed their ideals and then accept them as truth. I accept NOTHING, especially that which the masses take on face value. For all intents and purposes, Mental / Spiritual Slavery is a choice! (that most choose)

Great video. Now my question is when do you find time to read it all? And also, how do you read? Word for word, skimming? What are your techniques? Do you devote a period of time each day toward reading, just as you devote time to working out? I have always wanted to be a learning man, but it's hard because there are so many things to learn and getting the ball rolling is the hardest part. Thanks, I think what you are doing is great and I wish you the best.

Read a set number of pages a day. You won't build up to what he has done in a year. He's in his 30s I believe if not 40s. It looks like he has about 500 books there. Try with a book a week. Or 3-5 books a month. 40-50 books at the end of the year. It will probably take about 10yrs to reach what he has done. And who knows if he read those books cover to cover. Some people just read a couple chapters or even a single chapter and that's it.

@spot603 I never liked to read until I was about 23, so don't give up. Just try and read what interestes you. And if you read just 5 pages a day you can complete a 300 page book in 2 months. That's much better than not reading at all. I hated reading when I was younger (and had trouble reading when I was younger), but now that I have learned that reading makes me grow and become better...I read about 1 book per week. Goodluck and keep going strong!

The reason they say write down everything you can remember about your dreams is it exercises your ability to recall the dream, and with practice you can remember more and more. Another thing you can do is get in the habit of performing reality checks, after you have a lot of notes taken down try and find re-occurring themes, like some people find that in dreams clocks run backwards or their hands are warped. Make a habit of looking for these things and it may help you realize you're dreaming.

And it has been my experience that NO ONE has "completely figured it out"... in fact, I don't see that there is any "figuring it out" to be done, and that those who claim the have "figured it out" are amongst the most lost and confused of us all. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” Isaiah 55:8-9

Spirituality, Philosophy & Knowledge all solidify your mental strength that allows you to achieve your goals. My top books: #1 Don't Stop Your Mind - James J Traitz #2 Tao of Jeet Kune Do - Bruce Lee #3 The Power of Now - Eckhart Tolle My other books vary from history (war, societal, economics), economics, geo-political, survival, and self-sustainability. Basically, follow your pure curiosity and interest, not that which is manipulated by the mainstream media and normalcy biased sheep.

@dettman77 Thank you brother. I appreciate your humility and concern. First, in my experience there is nothing more INCONSISTENT than the idea of God, God's Divine Manifestations (ie. Christ), and holy books as The Bible. These things and people are full of huge inconsistencies, and it is perfectly beautiful that way! As a student and seeker, I too find the greatest expressions of God in inconsistency.

Elliott, This is a great post. I have a question on mind mapping. I know you use the white-boards. Have you considered using mind mapping software (there are several great ones out there)? I use CMAP personally. It may help you to declutter your stuff and you can print-out your ideas and update them (and share them online with whomever). I use a combo of Evernote and CMAPing to the many great ideas come to life. I didn't know if you're going that direction or not. John
