This will always be my favorite video game of all time. Been playing since 04. So many memories, so many good times. Love this game! *cheers*

This is the only game where you feel growth, and not just repeating the same moves with the same powers but higher numbers (Wow)

Excellent rundown, I play on the Everlasting server. It's a good thing NCSoft granted Homecoming a licensing agreement. It's all legal and above board now. Ever play before? You can play again - Welcome Home.

Its nice to see that this game still has a strong following, especially since the game is coming up on its 20 year anniversary (April 28 2024).

The game is 20 years old. I played since just after inception and was online when the servers shut off. Nice to be back on. It's still fun.

The game was great. Playing DC online never gave me the same feeling as CoH but it did come close in some ways. But I always told my friend who never played CoH that the people that did DC online had to have hired or played CoH because you can see they got ideas from it. Yet I don't know how it is that CoH still had better transportation and overall powers than DC online (maybe that changed since I last played).

I started playing from almost Day One. I'm trying to get more friends and their siblings to play. Your video makes a great descriptive introduction to most of the basics, plus a bit more. Thank you!

Still to this day one of the best superhero MMOs and arguably one of the best MMOs ever made. Unfortunately I was way too ingrained into Final Fantasy XI to enjoy it during live. But after hearing so much about it for years and the utter excitement people that played it had when explaining it, I jumped on Homecomming when I first heard it went public. I wish I could go back in time to 2004 and played it from the start, even with going through the dark times of it being shut down and joy of it returning. All the words I've heard about the game didn't do it justice. Without going into the amazing character creation system, dynamic quest lines, imaginative customization, City of Heroes does something a lot of MMOs, or most games for that matter, don't do: It respects your time. I could play for an hour and still have as much fun if I played for 5 hours. There's always something to do and I find myself logging in thinking "What do I want to do" instead of "What do I have to do" like other games are structured. That's a sign of a good game. I have about 20 characters so far and I could make 20 more with how phenomenal the customization is.

@@randomdoormedia An independent server emulator that isn't just stolen NC code. It would clear a lot of legal area and increase the ability for hosts to customize the game. The reverse engineering progress on Ouro is doing pretty well though, a lot of stuff has been figured out over the years
