Great video! Been using SmartThings since around 2017ish. Since then the integration of devices and ease of use still works best for me! With Alexa integration based on your phones Geolocation you can have an endless amount of things happen. For example, If I leave my home my TV, sound bar, lights, and thermostat all go to an "away" mode. Same holds true when I return home I have my TV, sound bar, and other things turn on so when I walk in the door these things are already on. Another great feature is outdoor lighting. Whether you use smart plugs, smart switches, or smart bulbs you can control your outdoor lighting based on sunset/sunrise times that continually change as the seasons do and can have lights turn on at sunset, or a delay after sunset. The same holds true for off times. I can't tell you how great this has been vs. using old timers that had to CONSTANTLY adjusted as the seasons change. Needless to say I have NOT touched my outdoor lighting since buying this hub. Also with Alexa anything can be controlled with your voice when you link accounts. Another example. I have a smart-bulb on my front porch light. With my Ring 3+ camera if the camera detects someone the porch light will turn on for 2min (can be whatever time you want) and then turn off. Even though the doorbell cam has infrared lighting the porch light turning on acts as a deterrent as it now draws attention to your presence. There are other "smart" home hubs out there but SmartThings does NOT require any programming (coding) skills which keeps things easy and more simple. Other hubs that require coding can do more elaborate things but, I do not have the time to learn and do all that.

Yes, you did an amazing job explaining. I don't have any of those extra devices, so until I get them, I can turn my smart things off. THank you
