I don't know if you talked about the main power to your studio. All of your equipment should be connected to the same circuit if possible or the same grounding point.

I have a question I have ad da convertors separate tascam msr16 summing mixer and a tascam m224 my question is how would you connect every thing to be record thru my ad convertor help is needed because tascam m224 doesn't have a output theres rca output for a 2 track sum wanna record 16 track back in pro tools

Honest answer is.. I wouldn't. I would record to the multitrack machine and use the mixer to mix down to the 2 track outputs and convert those to digital. There's little benefit to a hybrid setup only increased complication. To make it work you would require a mixer with direct outputs but then why use a mixer at all if using Protools as its all in the box. Protools is the digital replacement for the multitrack machine and mixer.

When I print a track using analog hardware I can hear the analog noise in between the lyrics when I start placing plugins, is there anything I can do to reduce it or remove it?
@guerrillastudiosmanchester2 жыл бұрын
It depends exactly what is making up the noise. The noise floor of your recording is made up of all the circuits the audio signal travels through plus the tape machine if you're using one. However interference from other things like power sources, digital interfaces and radio signals can enter your signal chain through unshielded and badly earthed equipment. These typically sound like buzzing or humming. If the noise is predominantly made up of interference then the pieces of equipment causing it need to be removed while recording or properly connected, earthed and shielded. If the noise is predominantly tape sound (background hiss) this can be decreased by recording at a faster speed 15IPS or more, and/or with the use of a noise gate.

No. That is not right. I use this set up daily without noise.
