I absolutely love you guys!!! You have the casts down perfect! I live in the pacific northwest and am in frequent use of all these casts. The main reason is lots of tight spaces and we need the mass of the short stout line to turn the big flies. I use the skagit for summer runs fishin also, on the bigger rivers while skating flies!!

Well done , started out Skagit have been transitioning to Scandi mostly for Steelhead and salmon both are great fun . Live in Montana on the Madison river and just about all I do now days is trout Spey with a 4 wt with both Scandi and Skigt Systems. Something different. Thanks for the video

Nice video. When I saw the title and the river for a moment I thought you were on the Skagit. The river is located about an hour and a half from my home (when the traffic is good). It is a beautiful river with deep holes and long runs.

The fishing scene at the end of your video looks exactly like the Grandy Creek drift on the Skagit river.Which I happen too have grown up on and live a half mile away from. I remember in the late 80's to early 90's running across an older gentlemen on the Lyman Bar(also on the skagit river) he was working for the Fenwick fishing Rod company at the time and was telling me all about this style of fishing.it was fun to watch him cast. Myself I'm an egg tosser for Steelhead and King salmon.

When a rod states 250-275 grain skagit line is that only talking about the shooting head grain weight? Or is it shooting head grain weight + tip grain weight need to equal between 250-275?

Does anybody have experience with the Vision Varioverse reel? I can't find any reviews or online chatter, except for the 4 Varioverse "how-to" videos and one forum discussion Stripers Online. I'm looking for a good review of the reel. I'd like to see it in action. I noticed here that none of the rods in the shot were using the Varioverse reel. Thoughts?
