This an effect called “Monkey in the middle”. One of my favorite card tricks for years. I forget who the creator is, but he hit he nail on the head with this one. SO clever.

Years ago, I had a trick called, "Hole Sensation". It was similar but in that trick the card appeared to vanish from between the two cards with the holes in them. This is really a nice idea. Thanks!

The white border on the back of Bicycles is always thicker on one short end than the other. It's a pain, for sure. This is a great effect, though. Well done, Gaffer.

I have been performing this effect without using balm. This is how; i start from this point; one blank white card second from top of deck,secretly ofcourse, i have small stack of blank cards on table. Ispread deck for spectator to select card keeping several top cards alittle bunched together to hide white card , take card from spec push back intodeck using marlos dept illusion card secretly goes under top card of deck on top of white card, now false cut deck using slip cut to send top card to center of deck now card which was second card is new top card this is specs card now on top of white card. Now i display sck of white cards lift off one card then pretend to add a second white card to first card by setting down card onto stack and pretending to pick up two two cards but really one card, place ontop of deck wave hand spread deck spectators card has risen to top of between the two white cards!!!
