Apple does some dirty stuff. New iPhones also have breakaway cables on the inside. So if you are a tech like me, we can't service those phones without going through a lot of trouble. The moment you open it every cable/wire breaks in half. They do this on purpose. Another issue is with Macbook Pros. RAM and Hard Drives are soldered directly to the board which make it impossible to replace. Memory is a disposable component. After around a million write cycles it will die, and with new Macbooks this means either spending $800.00 on a new motherboard or buy a new Macbook. Basically be like buying a new car because the old one ran out of gas or the battery died. Apple is one of the dirtiest players in the game. After Steve Jobs died it got so much worse! At least Steve Jobs understood right to repair and such. Tim Cook only cares about getting richer at any cost period.

The US government needs to address other problems with Apple. Closed systems. Soldered SSDs and RAM. NANDs holding ways to lock out tech repairs. There are a lot of things that Apple has been doing that is underhanded.

I had a watch die after just 40 days from a known error and they replaced it with a refurbished one… I’m sorry, that’s not what I purchased. Yeah so is putting a price of nearly $4,000 on a bunch fabric that makes a Burberry trench coat. But we’re not throwing lawsuits at them. The response is to just shop at TJ Maxx or Marshall’s and shop in your price range. You buy what you can afford. There are a multitude of other computers and smart phones out there that can still do the tasks but what sets the designers from the general and making someone want something isn’t illegal. You still have options and you buy what you can afford simple as that. I want a Lamborghini and think the price is outrageous but I buy what I can afford like a mustang. And when it comes to technology, which is always evolving at an exponential rate because we want more features third party developers have the responsibility of keeping up with advances and if they can’t then that’s on them. If you want to be elite, then pick up your game whether in fashion, tech, or the auto industry it’s in every facet of commercialism.

The United States needs to put their foot down on all cellphone and computer companies so that out devices don't become obsolete after a few years. We should be able to use our phones for as long as we care for them and they will stay on. I'm thinking 15 years at least. We should be able to pay for upgrades to our existing devices by changing out or adding more chips or technology instead of having to purchase a new device every few years. This is such a wasteful way of doing business. The materials that our devices are made of are damaging to the environment too acquire. Our society is too wasteful. All of our products should be made to last longer. And containers should be made to refill, not recycle. If we don't change our ways we are going to destroy our environment.

Most people don’t switch either. They buy what they want from the beginning. It being a status symbol to you has nothing to do with financial situation so idk why you brought that up. No one is looking at an iPhone user and thinking they’re important or rich. They’re just like Toyotas. Everyone has one just about, and if you want to involve cost, android flagships are the same price but less popular overall in the US generally.

I bring it up because it is about the mentality of a lot of people to have the brand name due to social pressures. It's a mental self image thing that people think they have to get all the higher priced brand names, even though there are other brands equally as good, in order to keep up with other people. I recall years ago where kids demanded iPhones and parents could not afford the high price just because that's what all their friends had. Adults are not much better. LOL! And no, not just about everyone has an iPhone. Not in the U.S. anyway. LOL! Most of my family, all but one person in fact, and most everyone that I know, uses Android based phones. A huge reason for that is how many different manufacturers there are for Android based phones. Some are very, very cheap... some not. And Android phones are more flexible compared to iPhones from a developer stand point. How many manufactures are there for iPhone? How many for Android? And why do you think that is? For most people that I know, that's an issue.

Samsung was also sued for the same thing. Turns out none of the companies were deliberately slowing down older devices to force costumers to buy new ones. All the companies, starting with Apple, started implementing throttling for older devices in order to improve the longevity of them. Throttling is something thats always been on Macs so it just became a surprise to iPhone users who dont use Macs. They didnt understand what this innovation was so they just sued Apple for it. Apple apologized because they didnt think people were that stupid that they were going to complain that their phone now lasts longer than it otherwise would have.

The reason people buy iPhones instead of buying an android phone is because for the most part android phones are more glitchy/unresponsive because the software is not optimized correctly for the hardware, Steve Jobs himself said “ anyone who is serious about hardware should provide their own software” or something to that effect It would seem that that is why Apple is so much more successful than Samsung. Google is taking on this same strategy so if anyone does want to buy an android phone I’d recommend a Google pixel because they have that enjoyable software experience but on an android.

What Apple is doing now, they have been doing since the beginning. Using their own proprietary standards, locking out others. Can’t really speak on the other points, but their exclusive ecosystem should not but a reason in the craziness. It’s simply business and there nothing wrong with that. How are you mad for Intentionally not choosing Apple for android… because you didn’t get the same experience? Your iPhone friend can send you high-quality videos via text, but they can’t receive the same return? The interchanging watch and phone is pretty dumb too. You wanted to switch back to an android phone …why do you still want the Apple Watch? Toss it like you tossed that good phone. 🤨

The last time I supported Apple was when I bought an Apple IIe. Yup. After the Woz was marginalized, I'd have to say that pretty much everything went way, way, waaayyy, downhill. And yes... sure... we all remember Steve Jobs. But that was DECADES ago. It'd be like looking to Diddnay and hoping that dear ol' Walt's legacy was "still there", LOL. *IT AIN'T*. Apple has created EVERYTHING about their products WHY should they give In and make them compatible with other products not made by them!!! This makes as much sense for suing General Motors for a Cadillac engine not being compatible for a Lincoln!!!!
