@@Rose19695 Well - Mr.Roumie and his shirt have certainly “water down” the just as important faith and beliefs of non-Catholic Christians - and what that symbol means to them. I think using the word “useless” to describe anything other than what his shirt says and what Catholics believe - is pretty patronizing. The meaning of patronize - speak or behave towards you in a way that seems friendly, but that shows that they think they are superior to you in some way. Most comments I see from Catholics on this and other beliefs - does just that. Think like you wish - believe as you wish - but understand that others are just as valid in their faith and beliefs. This shirt fails.

Scripturally in 1stCor. 2:4-5 it states, "for my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and of Power, that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of man but in the power of God." While listening to this interview I was impressed by Jonathan's demeanor and speech and this scripture explained how and why Jon's role is NOT acting but God's demonstration of His Spirit 'n Power is being manifested through Roumie. Intuned Christian can discern the difference between man's and God's spirit. I "think" Roumie's genuine speech and words, has allowed God's spirit to slip in 'n being demonstrated. I am not insinuating Jonathan to be perfect yet his sincerity and genuine desire to be witness is being manifested in this filmage.

I think it's difficult to be harsh with the actor playing Christ in a very, very popular series. It would be in bad taste to say the least.
