Your video reminds me my Childhood days which I spent in Astore. Most of the cultural elements of Wakhi people were prevalent in many rural villages of Gilgit-Baltistan. Unfortunately, the modernisation is threatening all these precious cultural elements.

@@whatsinmymind5942 wakhi people (xik) lives in Tajikistan badakhsan (majority), Afghanistan badakhsan, China kasghar, and Russia. I heard there is also a wakhi village in turkey . And o yeah in brughal valley chitrali and ishkomen pakistan.

@@Fakhirasharifi well yeah actually wakhi and Persian are both in the same language family (Iranian branch of indo Iranian)Most importantly Xiks has always lived side to side with Persian people so we have quite similar culture and we have a lot of Persian loan words and we use some Persian phrases very casually . Infact,although in pakistan there aren't Persian here yet, I grew up listening to tajiki and persian songs most of my life.

Beautiful and very interesting to learn about the Wakhi people of Pakistan, really amazing landscape as well Alhamdulillah. Prophet Muhammad sallaAllahu walayhi wasallam also lived a life of simplicity.
