Honestly, it is the best community ever. I've found annoying people who talk smack or get annoyed because you're not strong enough like once a year at most. Players don't mind carrying you if you are not good enough yet. It's what basically kept me on the game. Even when someone does say something mean, I've seen other players stand up to them. And now that I'm getting better and better, I get to repay and pass on that kindness

Two years old, buuuuut -- when Warframe first came out on Switch I played there initially. Some asshole complained that I, a girl (team was on vc) had dared to come into a survival mission with my Frost and absolutely slayed his 1k kill score by 2k (I PILED Endo into extending the reach and power of my abilities + how much energy my Warframe had, so popping Avalanche caused a cascade of numbers to pop even through walls)... he was promptly YEETED from the group by the leader

eventhough the community good, i mostly still play solo beside some hard content because the game connection is Peer 2 Peer, which is the worst kind of online connection. you could play with a host with buttery smooth internet from Singapore one session, and then a host from china with VPN and 500 ping the next.

Can confirm. I was new at the game and grinded mesa prime parts before realizing one of the parts was like unobtainable anymore or something. When I asked the global chats about it, some players immediately messaged me to give me the part. I thought they were trying to sell it for lots of plats or something but nah, they gave it for free. I pop into Warframe from time to time and I have consistently been amazed how positive the community has stayed despite the lengthy duration of the game. I've lost count of the times people have offered me open trades to just hand me whatever item I was curious about and teach me how to use it. I am fairly stubborn though and dont like just being handed things, so I really appreciate the fact that I can ask for help with anything and multiple voices will speak up, any time of day.

Yeah man, I started playing the game back on xbox a long time ago, and I remember getting a prime for free, I think it was Trinity Prime? Anyway stopped playing, then started to replay a few months before sevagoth came out, I was so overwelmed by everything. I think the most positive thing on the warframe community is the community itself, experienced players helping new players, sharing information, sharing resources. Like the majority of the players, some experienced random guy helps you do some mission, or gives you some relics, really sticks whit you and I do the same when I encounter new players.

Eh, pub groups from the bounty aren't terrible in terms of toxicity, inexperienced pretty often sure but not really toxic since anything (frames or weapons) goes. LFG chat for 5x3 or 6x3s is sometimes toxic, but more often than not just really hek bent on enforcing the meta comp mainly for getting more runs = more loot. RIP Energize/Grace prices how far you have fallen.

I love how welcoming and helpful the community is, recently I had wanted to start a playthrough on PC, and sadly couldn't use my maxed out xbox account, so I started out new and thought it would be fun to see how it went and how the community would treat new players, and I can say that everyone is very helpful and nice, almost always being able to find one person who can help on that one mission you just can't do or just really don't like. Even the owner of the clan I'm in helped me get over 3k plastids so I could make my wukong frame! I always suggest this game to anyone when I get the chance just because of how much I love it and it's community, not to mention the wonderful and funny small jokes warframe has been putting in recently, like the cetus server 69 and the new frame Sevagoth being a whole ass jojo reference, with a pose to go with his store page.

Thankfully you can't be forcibly extracted any more. If you're in a squad and 2 of the 4 go to the end, they will extract and you and the other player will stay behind. I remember all too well how frustrating it was before they implemented this change

@@jgphantom6 Nope, only works for specific missions, just last week I was doing a regular exterminate mission for a syndicate, glass maker spawned in and I really needed those. So i asked the rest to stay, but all 3 others just went to the exit, did not bother to gather syndicate statue's too. When the timer reached 0 I was forcibly extracted too. I literally could see the glassmaker enemies at the end of the room I reached before I was pulled away.

as a warframe veteran (been playing since the release on 2013) i am genuinely happy with this community, sure the trading chat is something like a world war 2, but other than the trading chat everything is peaceful :) region chat is just full of people sharing some puns and memes, and the discord of warframe is a lot of people helping new player, chilling, giving some of their builds to help the community, etc. i've been on and off of the game cause of being burned out but whenever i discover one of my friends plays the game i open the game and help them go strong and bigger :) i never uninstalled the game on my PC, it's just there sitting and constantly updating when a new update drops lmao, but yeah it's a fun community! and i hope the game AND the community never changes!

There have been rough patches, but just like the video states, they're between the developers/community managers and the community. Hopefully we never see more of those and things smooth over, but I doubt that'll happen any time soon. You also never mentioned how veteran players tend to take newbies under their wing. I personally have done that 4 times and it's nice to see them grow up ingame. Warframe is terrible at teaching new players the things they need to know, but the community has taken that up on their own shoulders and they've been all the better for it. Random players doing what the Guides of the Lotus should've been, but it's a lot more personal and can very often be the start of a new friendship. Trainman has always been more vocal about criticism towards Warframe and DE, but that's because of how much he cares about it all. My hope is DE will learn to listen better to their community because they got this far because of nothing other than just that. Thanks for the video, it's nice to have a concise view of the big picture, because even with every single instance of toxic player2player or developer2player interaction, there's still more good than bad in here.

It is indeed the nicest thing, I had an old clan which I created back when they were added, it was pretty much dead with me being the only active players and sometimes someone would log in, but with this pandemic, me and my newly found friend that was part of my clan, began a campain to revive the clan, we brought dozens of new players to our ranks and we taught and helped them until they could become independent enough to trail their own path without us holding hands. We have plans to expand the clan to mountain tier and enlarge even more our community of warframe fans.

This made me remember so many things about my time in warframe, i remember that when i started i joined a new clan that had a few members, i made some good friends with them and we started growing up the clan. Eventually when i started drifting off the game i would only check to see who was on atm and talk for a while, this eventually lead to the leader kicking me and me coming home and booting the game to see i didnt have a clan anymore was actually kind of sad, he also offered to get me back in but i knew i wasnt playing almost at all, so i rejected. I wonder what it will be of that clan today, might check yp tomorrow, i miss those guys

Tbh when i was new i got helped a lot.. I mean.. A LOT. They helped and guide through everything and if i had a problem with a mission or needed an item that was hard to get in my lvl they just help me and tell me how to get it.. Now that im kind of a veteran myself i can t just leave a new player confused.. I think it was a good thing for warframe to have almost no tutorial because then players will help players

My favorite past-time is farming plague star a bunch when it's available, then giving out Hunter Adrenaline's to new players. When I was new to the game, someone did something similar for me, and it made a significant difference since I used to play solo a lot.

It's important to note that the community actively goes out of its way to shut down bad player mindsets, too, like Mastery Rank elitism. Had an experience where just claiming my high MR meant people can have some degree of confidence in my word got me a bit chewed out. lmao I'm not mad at them for that, though, and I agree with them, as MR just signifies how many things someone leveled. It doesn't equate to knowledge of the game all that much.
