I love the fact that that they demanded to make this video on location for 'artistic purposes', and then filmed it in one day and used the other two as a vacation and a reason to see somewhere else, in case they got fired for the song! They spent the entire budget haning out in bars and chilling on day two and three of the video shoot, when they got all the footage on day one. Why?! Cause FUCK ' em... thats why!! I love any band that doesn't even TRY to take themselves seriously. 😎

I absolutely love this song! A buddy of mine introduced me to it and I listened to it quite a bit. When I moved from Florida to Georgia this song actually helped me pass one of my world history class test. I passed by one question. The part where he says "hieroglyphics let me be specific" that line had the answer in it, hieroglyphics. And the only reason I remember the hieroglyphics was because of this song kept popping up in my head while studying. (By studying i mean aimlessly looking at the pages hoping id just get smacked with the knowledge and retain it. 🤣)

The most notable thing about this song is that The Discovery Channel sued The Blood Hound Gang for defamation and WON so not only did MTV pull the video from rotation but The Blood Hound Gang were legally prohibited from performing the song in concert.

Cats, dogs, bears, and more. A friend of mine is(was?) associated with an organization that specialized in furry conventions, he did security ends other jobs for it. But in this video the dressing like animals is not "furry". It's referring to "we ain't nothing but mammals, so let's so it like they do on the discovery channel" line.

The other week I literally had my teen pull up the lyrics so we could go through it line-by-line for the pop-culture references. The lyrics didn't age well (like the Siskel & Ebert reference) but the song is still fun and hilarious. We've all gotten spoiled by Prime, which means some of y'all can't truly appreciate that FedEx reference. They were cutting edge, turned the shipping industry on its ear.
