I love this video. I have been an LPN for 13 years and said the same thing about I’m going to just use this to get MY RN in the beginning. Now still an LPN and have worked in pediatrics, adolescent medicine, cardiology, urology, pelvic health, surgical specialty, primary care, I have done speeches, did posters, won awards. Now I am in telehealth that is a salary position and I have achieved all the things you have like having a Home being built all by myself a savings account. I don’t have the desire to go back I am continent and don’t want to pay another student loan for to make 5or 6 extra dollars to go back to the bedside. It just would not make since. So I am with you and fully understand.

I stumbled on your channel why watching some nclex reviews and let me say I feel you 100%. For the last 15 years as a LPN I have lived my best life for my family and I. We have not missed an opportunity to travel and do things. Then, I decided to return to school for my RN, that road was filled with bumps, holes, missing pavement, you name it I met. Continued on doing my LPN life, I realized I can do so much more in y desired field and so, As of December 2022 I finally completed my ADN program after starting in 2018. I am excited to see what new I can do with the RN. But the foundation for me was set by love of nursing instilled by being a LPN

Something brought me to this video I wanna say God cause I'm spiritual. But I thankyou so much for this I needed to see this! Currently in LPN school I have 7 months left, been a CNA/HHA for 5 yrs. My pharm professor keeps pushing for RN which isn't motivating at all it's off putting honestly. LPN school hasn't been easy at all for me but I'm pushing through. I feel like where I'm at now and with the research I've done to get here I'm very much ok with being an LPN comfortably. I also have 2 kids and work so this video really helped put ALOT of things into perspective for me. My mindset has always been do what feels right to you and that's what I'm doing it's not a competition for me I really care about what I do. To me the vibe is always "you can do more as an RN" and from what I see that's not true at all I can still accomplish my goals (great job, buying a home ect) as an LPN. I'm so happy I saw this you're awesome thanks again 🙏🏾💖

I am currently employed at the United States Postal Service (Government job). It pays the bills. But I know I have so much to offer and give then just pushing mail around 24/7. They manage our hours tells us when to take vacation go on break. And the pay it’s okay. But it’s not the best, I use to be a medical assistant and I loved it. Had a bad experience with a doctor and never looked back. And that was the worst decision I’ve ever made. I lost nothing but time. I was my own hold back. And this video really inspired me to go back and get to pushing. Nursing is my desire every time I see someone in scrubs CNA’s LPN’s & RN’s I just reminisce on what u could’ve been. I do not want to live in regret in everyday from 3 years ago I’ve been living in regret. I appreciate your knowledge. This makes me more hungry. And like you said you not rich but you’re able to spread your wallet. And I just wanna be able to do for my family and loved ones. Thanks for the advice. Enjoyed the information you provided and thank you for sharing your experiences. I have been debating strongly what I want out of life at age 41 because in the last few years I haven't felt fulfilled. I was doing manufacturing for 19 years, and moved to pharmacy. Started a whole new career. And, I have finally decided that I like working the medical and enjoy helping others and providing care for others. Currently I am a pharmacy technician at the hospital. I do know that I don't want to be an LPN at a hospital, because the nurses look so tired all the time as compared to nurses in a clinic, doctors office, etc. But, you have pushed me forward to want to be an LPN. I have been accepted at my current community college and going through all the hoops to set myself up for success. Again, thank you.

This video is so helpful. I'm an LPN AND went to get my RN-ADN but I haven't been able to get my RN license after 7 attempts. I go through phases where I'm ok with being an LPN because I have had good jobs and I'm happy to be at home with my kids more. I currently live with my family internationally so I actually haven't worked as a nurse in a few years. I think the frustration with being an LPN is that I couldnt get the balance of family and work that I wanted while at the same time making enough money for my family. So an RN pays you so much more money. I'm contemplating trying to take my RN NCLEX again but I just dont know.

I'm doing the best I can to get into a LVN program here in Texas. I am attending a community college and taking my pre-reqs. It has been a long journey for me. Because getting through my science pre-reqs has been a struggle for me. Last year I was taking my intro to anatomy and physiology class I wasn't able to finish because my grandmother passed away sept 2022. I am back in school this semester and I am doing pretty good in a class that isn't so stressful. I will be taking my intro to anatomy and physiology course in the fall. Plus I am doing the best I can to get a job in a hospital. I am tired of working In the school system. I don't want to be a girl boss at all. My long term dream is to become a pediatric nurse. The process of getting into nursing school lord be with me. I got to push through this for myself and most of all my grandma. Plus I am tired of working at a job where I am not successful and where I can't afford to take care of myself.

As LPN I m happy that making enough mony and happy at my work. I did start Nursing creer late 50s by accident (I will not explain, too long of story). 36hrs are full time for my job. After 36 hrs are overtime. And I don't do overtime. First 2years learning and almost gave up. But after 2 yaers totally different story and I do make enough (pay bills and also saving 401k $1,000 a month) and I m happy about my job now. I thought about going back to RN school but I will be 62 after 4years and I don't want to spend more mony for school. If I start it little younger like 30s even 40s, I might think about it. "Might" I sad might!!! Thank you for your Video❤

You touched on so many points I've considered for my future. I did infact watch your original video last week, so I subscribed. I'm glad you made this update, thank you. My time for LPN school looms closer, it was supposed to start in October but due to nurse instructor shortages it was pushed back to December 19, then of course we are on Christmas break. I did all my paperwork, financial aide, admissions, the teas testing, then I received my approval letter. Here in Connecticut there's only one school located in 4 cities that offers LPN courses I'm lucky to live within 25 mins from one. I am expecting to graduate in 2024, that's 16 months of training. I will be 20grand in debt from this school. I've been a CNA since 2016. I initially was a home health aide after I obtained my CNA license, I did train in a nursing home too. I did hha for 4 years, it destroyed my car I worked in dozens of towns across the state. I currently work in an Assisted living community, I've been here since 2020 where I provide services to persons living with dementia or hospice level conditions. It was here at the Assisted living while working through the pandemic, that I realized what I was made of. That's a story in itself, so is being a hha omg, Lord have mercy, I've paid my dues!!!. On a positive note, I learned so much in that process, I overcame lots of challenges I obtained 68 college credits I'm technically a sophomore I could graduate in one semester. I also worked as a Covid tester I did everything I could to assist during that time. This span of time was the most challenging of my career it pushed me outside my comfort zone, and challenged me to work harder, faster, and to be emotionally stronger. It helped me gain more valuable experiences, network, and now I have the confidence to step into LPN nursing, it feels right for me now which is all that matters. I can't allow fear, or self doubt, or other people's opinions to stop me any longer. I really want more for my family especially respectable competitive wages, normal hours, more flexibility at the school they said not to keep thinking about the money, well I'm sorry after what I've experienced it's a driving force. I've encountered people who say, "oh an LPN, why wouldn't you just become an RN?". There's a lot of that talk all around. It hurts me to hear that, I feel automatically discounted, RNs especially like to make this comment. I'm not sure why there's this stigma surrounding LPNs. Even as a CNA, I've done alot to help people. I'm very proud of all of that I've done up to this point. I can't see myself working in a nursing home, just like you said, that's not my style. I am however very excited to step into my future, to be able to call myself a nurse, and see where that leads me professionally. I feel the care giving industry can be very abusive towards caregivers. Right now low wages prevail, and long hours are the only way to get ahead, I am very particular about where I apply now, I won't exchange one low paying job for another working under horrible conditions. I'm hoping by becoming and LPN and staying on top of the job market I can gain some advantages. Even as a cna now I keep one steady yet, underpaying job, while keeping a hand in shorter term, competitive wage positions.

Girl you got this, I’m in CT too and I’m an LPN. Nursing school is tough, but I love just being a nurse, the title doesn’t even matter. I get to show my skills and help people every day, THAT is the best feeling. Don’t listen to those people who say “oh why don’t you just become an RN?”, all you really get is slightly more pay and the title. You can work in hospitals, Dr offices, Homecare, assisted living.

@@nikitabudgets4201 Thank you so much ❤. It's been about a month since Stone Academy closed abruptly and unexpectedly. I will be starting a new LPN program on the 17th at Lincoln Tech. I am for sure taking time to focus on some things that I need to do and just be settled. Focus on my son and travel. I just want to have a calm life for once. This is a second career for me so my son has watched me earn degree after degree and hustle. I want to sit down. Lol I can’t wait to finish this lpn program so that I can just work and focus on gaining the skills and getting my experience. I loved this video. Thank you so much! I know it’s going to be hard but I also don’t want to be in school for so long as a medical assistant, mother and wife. There’s so many ways to became RN in a short period of time after having the LPN.

Thank you so much for this video! I also ended up watching your original video as well. I really appreciate your insight on this topic because honestly going back to school and for whichever subject can be a lot. I have been a CNA for about 15 years and throughout my workforce journey I always hear people say "don't bother with LPN, just get your RN." And although, I do see their reasoning behind it all and everything, I am someone that has always struggled in school and I haven't been to college in 10 years due to just being so afraid to go back to school and constantly working. I feel that having the courage to go back to school to get my LPN license right now is the right choice. I have a busy schedule, and care for my husband and son and with a number of things going on right now. I'm excited and nervous for this new journey. I enjoy caring for others and a nurse is all I've wanted to be. This will be a great stepping stone for me just for overcoming fear of going back to school. Thank you again Raequel for this honest advice for your videos. Really helped me put things into perspective and also thank you for pointing out the different opportunities for LPNs too! Take care and God Bless! ☺💕

I’ve been a pct for 14 years (licensed) and I’m debating going back for my LPN to maybe do education or a behind the scenes (no hands on ) nursing job. My body is def burned out from SNIFF facilities. I live my geriatrics don’t get me wrong but the physical demand I cannot do. You have def inspired me to not feel like LPN can’t do much because lord knows I can’t go through RN schooling I’m praying I can get through LPN schooling and do something I enjoy.

I'm so happy to hear this. It gives me some hope. I've been an LPN for 13 years in NJ, and I've had the opposite experience. It can be because of my location. Here in NJ, most of the opportunities for me have been doctors' offices or nursing homes. Most places require a registered nurse if it's anything other than the above. I look forward to moving out of this state one day. Thank you for your video.

I made the decision back in 2022 to quit my remote position that I finally got with the company I had wanted to work for for years. I stepped out on faith to go get my CNA license because the school I wanted to go to originally required for people to be a CNA First …long story short, I ended up getting injured at that CNA job couldn’t go to school, but I did sue and won some money and now 2024. I’m looking again to go to school ..my mind always circles back to being LVN out of everything else..I have opened my own business online which I enjoyed but that’s just not something I want to do long-term so I shut it down and I’ve been praying on what is it I should be doing and like I said, I always come back to nursing, so that’s what I’m gonna try and do.

I am currently in school for my BSN while I am working full time as an LPN at the VA hospital. I always hated school, and that's the reason why I decided to do the accelerated, 11-month LPN course, which has been great up until now. As an LPN, my position is very limited. I am a leader by nature, and the only way to move on up is to go back to school. So, here I am with 3 kids, a husband, working full time, and trying to keep it all together. It is hard, but it's possible. If you really want it, you will do it. I had to learn to leave all the excuses behind me.

I have truly enjoyed my LPN career ( MDS nurse, case manager, wound care, data entry, supervisor/ charge nurse) so much. I'm returning to school for my RN only becuz of the decrease opportunities d/t hurricanes & inflation. I know I can do the studying and the work it requires, that's not a problem. I love nursing becuz I love people & want to physically, holistically provide care & improve their quality of life. Never ever , lol. in PN school currently, after first starting in 1986 as a CNA and earning a BS degree in social science. Here in Idaho, LPN"s can do almost everything an RN can do so we have a lot of variety. For instance, the hospitals are going to "team nursing" with an RN, LPNs, and CNAs. I was told that LPNs would be phased out since I started in healthcare, but that won't happen! Go us!

We all broke our creator GOD ALMIGHTY laws and owed a debt we could never pay but GOD loved us so much that HE sent his SON JESUS to die a death he did not deserve for our sins paying it for us. IT IS FINISHED!He loves us so much y’all! Hell was never made for us! We are called to REPENT, admit that we have fallen short (sinned) and put our trust in the promised savior JESUS and ask him to be our LORD. HE will give you everlasting life with HIM!
