🧳 🇦🇺 In this informative video, we delve into the essential dos and don'ts of packing for a trip to Australia, focusing on the strict customs and biosecurity laws in the country. Australia imposes hefty penalties on travellers who fail to adhere to these regulations, so being well-informed is crucial.
📝 Before you even set foot in the Land Down Under, you'll receive an Incoming Passenger Card (IPC) from your airline. This card requires you to provide personal information and details about the contents of your luggage. To help you prepare, we've provided a link to the IPC in the video description.
✅🚫 We categorize the items you can bring into Australia into three distinct categories:
1) Category 1: Goods You Can Bring Without Declaring
2) Category 2: Items You Can Bring, but you have to declare
3) Category 3: Items Not Allowed in Australia
🤓 Stay informed and avoid potential troubles at the airport by following these guidelines. Check the video description for links to detailed information and additional resources. If you have any questions, please leave a comment.

Bzzzt ! Wrong. Sorry at 6m10sec your reference to Chewing Tobacco. This "might" be allowed coming into several of Australia's Eastern States' airports, but the State of Western Australia banned chewing tobacco under state law, several decades ago. I remember it being in the news, back when I lived in WA. For most other things you're right, and generally speaking, "mostly the same" rules apply to Australia's neighbour, New Zealand.. Just a point with NZ especially, they don't mind so much if your shoes or walking boots ARE dirty, but please do declare them to the Customs and Border Officers. They will take them away and clean them for you free of charge, and return them a few minutes later. They'd rather do that, than risk chance of soil-borne diseases being spread in NZ.

Hi, Kiwi Catherine :) Thank you for your comment. Well, according to the Australian Border Force website: "You can bring in up to 1.5 kilograms of smokeless tobacco (chewing tobacco or snuff) for personal use, but you will have to pay duty on any tobacco above 25 grams (only 25 grams is allowed duty-free)." It does not specify any state or territory that does not allow the entry of "chewing tobacco". If you have the information about it, please share it with us :) It would be great to add more information to this topic. Also, thank you for sharing information about NZ :) I have plans to visit this beautiful country this year :D

Many thanks for the useful information. Medicines need to keep in cabin baggage or can keep in checked in baggage?
@TheAustralianCorner

Hi Vaibhav, 😀Thank you for your feedback 🙌🙏🏻😀 We have worked hard to bring the information you need to make your life easier. 🙌😀 Answering your question: you can keep the ones you need in your cabin baggage. It won’t be a problem. According to Home Affairs: “A reasonable amount is considered an amount to cover the duration of the flight, allowing for any delays.” “It is recommended that you take in your carry-on baggage only what is needed for the flight and pack the rest in your checked baggage.” If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. 😀🙌

Can we bring personal care item more than 100ml/100g in Check-in Bag?
@TheAustralianCorner
@TheAustralianCorner 6 ай бұрын
Hi, Nimesh! :D Yes, you can take personal care over 100ml/100g in your check-in bag. You can also have personal care over 100ml/100g in your carry-on bag if it applies to exceptions, such as baby products, medical (prescription and non-prescription) items and dietary requirements.

Hello i am not clear about the cigarettes thing. Can you clear me do you mean we can carry 1 unopened packet of cigarette in check in not more than 1 packet? and one opened in hand carry??
@TheAustralianCorner
@TheAustralianCorner 6 ай бұрын
Hi Poozana :) Sure, I can make it clearer :) According to the Australia Border Force (as of today), "You are allowed to bring in duty-free: one unopen packet of up to 25 cigarettes or 25 grams of other tobacco products; AND one open packet of cigarettes.". :) Exceptions: "If you bring in more than your duty free allowance for tobacco and cigarettes, you’ll need to pay duty on all of your tobacco and cigarettes, not just on the excess." :D

Hi, Akiro! 😃 According to Australia Border Force”: “All liquids, aerosols and gel items must be in containers of 100 millilitres or 100 grams or less.” “You cannot take containers larger than 100 millilitres or 100 grams, even if they are partially filled. For example, a 200-gram toothpaste tube that is half-full is not allowed.” - in carry-on baggage. 🧳 ✈️ 🦷 🪥 😬

Hi Donnie. I am not sure if it was a compliment or an offence. Anyway, I was not born India, and even if I was, what's the problem with it? Any person on this planet, regardless of nationality, deserves respect. Also, why does it need to be someone from Australia? haha I am pretty sure there are so many TV/KZbin channels with Australian journalists out there. :) Feel free to follow them. Last but not least, I am proud to be a foreign person living in Australia and have English as a second language. I am not sure if you speak a second language but, it requires hard work and dedication. I still have a lot to learn, but I am proud of having an open mind to live in a multicultural country and accept the differences. We'll keep producing and sharing free information in this channel for those who want to be informed and respect each other. :)
