Also tech tip from a outdoor blue collar worker and hunter: rubber banding a hot hands to your shins/ankles (depending on boots) will keep your feet,legs and jewels very warm.

Amazon also sells some usb chargeable hand warmers that look like a computer mouse. Those things are amazing in your pockets. They last for like 16 hours and put off solid amount of heat.

@jrgfox I'm still hooked to the old zippo lighter fluid ones. We have DOZENS between my dad, grandpa and I lmao

As someone who just finished roughly setting up their NV rifle, helmet and is looking for a class this is what I need.

John Lovell talks about wearing a a plate carrier to get the feel for something "new". Good advice for both, new kit, and getting your helmet squared (approx. 3:00). As for the headlamp, I keep it snug on my neck. Don't let it flop around in case you forget it's while you do a drill. Also, love the Princeton on my helmet. Great video!!!

From our class in Goldendale I would recommend people to bring a sense of urgency and range walk 😂

Always wear wool layers, preferably Merlino Wool, rather than cotton unless it's a ridiculously hot summer night. Even when wet wool will maintain warmth. I've frozen my ass off so many times outside I have peripheral nerve damage. It pays to be prepared.

Timely and helpful video. I’m attending a 2 night NV course this weekend at Fort Scott, KS with Kris Paronto.

Handouts: “… also, no”. lmfao 😂 Best part of the video Jon! Also love the aim small in training reminder. I catch myself not doing that too often, need to focus more on that aspect during trainings. I think I just found my 2023 resolution. 🎉

When are you going to do some NV classes in NC? I saw you had weaponized geometry classes but we need some good NV instructors! Good stuff.

I need to find a range that allows it.

What about those eye shields for pvs31s?
@KineticConsulting2 жыл бұрын
Those are awesome until you fold the 31s up or out. Then you don't have eye pro.

@@KineticConsulting it doesn’t matter to me I’m too poor for 31s. I’m sad I missed your class in Goldendale this year. It was the same day as my wife’s birthday and we made plans way in advance.

carrots, used to give classes and carrots true to the old wives tales are good for your vision, or at least to help you see better at night anyway. i'm old school before everyone had night vision gear but i assume a real good tactical flashlight or something will greatly ruin someone's night wearing such gear.

Modern NVGs have auto-gating. Bright white lights don't really do anything to the NVG user.
