I was going to buy a 3 day park ticket for Disneyland. Should I buy a park hopper?

The first thing I do is make lists/tables before the trip. I feel like it’s a must-do especially if you’re traveling with a larger group. I get all the kids’ heights and make a table that shows who is eligible for each ride so there are no surprises and also put which rides have rider switch/single-rider to utilize that. If we’re traveling with grandparents or someone who doesn’t like the “thrill” rides, we’ll have them take the smaller kids to go do something fun for them. I like to get a general idea of everyone’s must-do’s and make a note of which ones overlap so we can all try to do it together. My personal must-do’s are Indiana Jones (first thing because you never know when it’s going to shut down later in the day), POC, Big Thunder, Space Mountain, and Galaxy’s Edge (we’re huge Star Wars geeks, but haven’t been the the parks since 2017 so we’ve never experienced it yet.) Some other things we do to maximize our time is to get an early start and try to be waiting outside the gates 1.5-2 hours before they open so we’re in front for rope drop. We get coffee and breakfast to-go from our hotel or Starbucks beforehand and chill and eat while we’re waiting for the turnstiles to open. We like to make oatmeal packets in a coffee cup, bagels, fruits, cereal, and something with protein is always good because it helps to keep our bellies full a little longer. Another thing we do to make the morning smoother is being ready to go through security. I get all of our bags unzipped and put any jewelry, watches, belts, sunglasses in a mesh bag before we get to the front of the security line so we don’t have to scramble to take all of those things off. And as always, check the prohibited list items so you don’t have to make the decision of tossing something or walking it back to your car/hotel. Sidenote: Lacey, is that a glimpse of your natural hair color? You’re beautiful either way, but I’m loving the darker color 😍

I’m planing to take my son for his birthday. We will likely just do two rides at the park, he’s on the Autism spectrum. He loves the shows and parades and I’m having a hard time trying to plan our day. We will likely stay at a hotel close by just in case we can take a break and return to the park at night, not likely. He has never been at the park at night because I usually can’t do an all day at the park with him. Our last visit we went to the park with his caregiver and he knew the park inside out and just planned our full day. I’m lost without that support, and this time I’m all on my own. I will be watching other videos of yours trying to learn more about the parks in casa I dare do two days.

Just a note - re shopping - if you find something you want & it is in one of the themed lands, you might not find it on Main St or World of Disney. Also those shops close earlier. For fireworks, It''s A SMALL World is a great area to view them too, or if Fantasmic is up, you can go right up to it. They take down the ropes. Thank you for your time to make this video. When we did our trip this past February, we only had 2 park days: 1 at DL and 1 at DCA. We ended up rope dropping both park days. We had never been on Rise so it was our must do list and as we were waiting to get through security, we had a virtual queue open for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway so we scored that! The rise line never stopped moving -we went directly to it at park open and got to do everything we wanted (minus Indiana Jones because it was down for Refurbishment). It was a magical time and one of the best trips we’ve ever taken. Genie plus is absolutely worth it to maximize time. Great video!

Some things to note: fireworks are only Fri-Sun now. I guess it gets windy a lot in Anahiem so they often have to cancel fireworks. Fantasmic is currently on pause. The dragon (aka Murphy caught in fire a few months ago).

Love your videos! We're going to Disneyland next week! Are you able to use a Joby Gorilla pod at Disneyland to hold your camera? I've read you can't have selfie sticks, but couldn't find a definitive answer on mini tripods or something like the Handler for a GoPro.

Great question! Disney has height requirements for different attractions on their website. We usually measure our kiddos so we know which rides they can go on.
