Howdy. I love your videos of Buenos Aires, they’ve been by far the most descriptive, objective honest videos of all. Thanks for sharing them. I am traveling down there this coming july and boy am i feeling less stressed about flying that far after bumping into your videos. Greatings from northern Mexico.

@@NickiPostsTravelStuff I'd love a video on the best neighborhoods in BA! That was a huge thing for me back then, as I had planned to live there for at least 3 months but then decided on Cusco instead. I remember at the time really wanting an apartment in Palermo or Retiro

Thanks for your videos Nicki, it gave me a lot of insight prior to coming to the city. I think you recorded all your videos with your iphone right? How safe is it to record with a phone or a dslr? I’m someone who takes photos a lot during my travels but I was thinking of switching out to a mirrorless dslr just so that it doesn’t stand out in the street :( i’m afraid of being mugged hahaha
@NickiPostsTravelStuff
@NickiPostsTravelStuff Жыл бұрын
Yup, I recorded all my videos in Argentina on my iPhone. It's hard to say how "safe" it would be because it's a big city, and I did get my phone stolen there. I was looking at IG while waiting on my lunch, sitting outside at a restaurant. My friend's sister got her phone stolen while taking a photo. So you just never know. I think a phone is easier to steal because it's lightweight and they can easily grab it and run. If you bring a DSLR, you will probably be fine in most places, just make sure you have the strap around your body. I wouldn't bring it out at night, but during the day, you should be fine in most places.

Very good explanation and video, you are lovely. I only would add The Teatro Colon (near to Obelisk), Confiteria El Molino (in front of Congress at 6:35), Palacio Barolo, Corrientes Street, Abasto Shopping (if you want to shop, located in Abasto), Parque Lezama, Ortodox Church and Museo Historico Nacional (all in two blocks of Barracas Neighboor). Also, Chacarita Cemetery has Carlos Gardel tomb, and american actor Guy Williams was buried for a short time there, who lived and died in Recoleta. Greetings !!

I have a question ! I Googled about a week ago , it said San Telmo was dangerous ,especially at night ! But,from your video I didn't get that vibe & you would had mentioned it if it's not safe ! I'd like to know your opinions on this !? Thank you so much ! It seems like other youtubers are loving that area ,too ! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇦🇷⚽️💕💞
@NickiPostsTravelStuff
@NickiPostsTravelStuff Жыл бұрын
Hi Spark! I think this is definitely a nuanced question. I do love San Telmo, I think it has a great vibe. The main center, near Plaza Dorrego and the San Telmo Market, are very cool and relaxed and I personally feel safe there. However, outside of that area, I can understand why people might think that. As some of the roads near Av. 9 de Julio, that type of Bohemian vibe disappears, and feels much more "big city." In the evenings, I suggest you stick to main avenues, rather than small streets.

Wow ! Great answer !! 👏👍Thank you so much !! I was hoping for something like this would come back from you !! I feel much better about visiting there in the near future ! Thank you !! Speaking of ...I really need to buy your book !! Lol. I am going to !! People think we can Google all info & watching videos are enough ! NO ! Lol. Google is awesome,but not always accurate !! And videos are wonderful to watch & get the ideas faster / easier ,but yet it's not perfect to get all the details from it at once ! Yes, it's fantastic in general,but it depends on the KZbinr's perspectives,too & impossible to show everything everything ! I also love the feel of holding a book , going thru pages ,it's something special about having a 📖 !! If it's very expensive ( unless it's got great pictures in colours ) ,then I understand ,I probably won't buy it ,either.But, yours is inexpensive ! Often,googling leads me to totally opposite answers contradicting to each other, too !! LOL 😅So,I get more confused / worried !! LOL Lately ,knife attacks in London have been increasing !! Just saw a horrible news yesterday that some teen ( boy ) got stubbed on bus infront of other passengers by another teenager !! While I was in London last summer, I was gonna go walk on Oxford Street, then saw a news on tv some elderly man got stubbed/ killed there !! So,I didn't !Both sad episodes occurred during the day time !! 😱😱 I always try to get opinions from the locals of the places I am visiting !! ( reg.the Oxford Street stubbing & crimes in London ,a very good looking English black lady at my favourite shop told me that she thought those were done by someone knew the victim's, so not random that we didn't need to worry so much !She's so right ,90% of crimes are done by someone knew the victims !! But sadly she was wrong about the particular one as it seemed to be a random attack ! ) Compared to that ,vs London & here Los Angeles ,Buenos Aires is much safer I believe !!! LOL Thank you so much for your replies !! I really appreciate them !!👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇦🇷💞
