Very true I'm 10 days out from gastric sleeve surgery. Weight loss many times in my 67 years. Always got to a weight and my body stopped me from further loss. I'm glad to say I am 20 lbs below that stop Weight but it took gastric sleeve surgery to get past. Being retired and dedicated my time to exercise intermittent fasting and weighing food and fluids. Not to mention the 12 different doctors and pre surgery exams. And dieticians. If your serious about weight reduction it's not just a phone call to a reputable organization there's thousands of dollars involved in professional care. I Lost 55 lbs on my own with dieticians guidance. I don't regret a thing now I Lost 20 lbs in 10 days after sleeve surgery. That is a loss of 75 lbs in 9 months. I am totally prepared for a possible weight stall as I start purred food in less than a week but I am walking 3 miles ever other day and not setting on my butt waiting for the lbs. To disappear. You can't be low energy and lazy and find a excuse. That's what having a professional organization on your side sometime prodding you to get with your goals. My surgeon will be satisfied if I loose another 50 lbs. I have a year of potential weight loss per historical stats. I no longer take blood pressure medicine or any diabetes medication including insulin. At one time I took 20 different medications and now I'm down to 4 and potential reduction after my cardiologist appointment in a week. I have been on a c-pap. For severe sleep apnea for 12 years. I'm having a sleep study later this year to change settings or stop using it. My testosterone level is increasing and I'm able to function sexually as being a man. Loosing 75 lbs changed my life and giving me a second chance at a healthy life.
