#1 Look, you're a cop, so you are either a sociopath who doesn't have empathy for other people, or a psychopath who enjoys other people's suffering. No use denying it. #2 It's OK. It's not your fault. Your parents didn't love you, right? #3 Steamroll any attempt to change the narrative #4 Deal with objections while maintaining narrative #5 Reaffirm you're the cop's friend and that you don't judge him for his criminality #6 Look for passive mood #7 Offer alternative motivations: "You didn't mean to beat the man to death. You were concerned about public safety." #8 Gain agreement with narrative and start confession #9 Confirm confession and suggest to cop that his/her only true salvation is through suicide. Suggest he/she use their government- issued firearm to kill themselves, and give pointers on exactly how to go about doing it. Get commitment from cop that they will follow through today.

I will say that I disagree with that definition of interrogation. Interrogation is essentially or they are trying to get information out of you that you do not want to give up. That could have to do with getting you to confess to a crime but it's larger than that. A wife who wants to know why there's a new dent in the car will likely interrogate her husband to try to find out how the dent got there.
