I am always interested in learning more about EV coins as I delved into and specialized in this arena many years ago (decades really). I have amassed a small group of new discovery coins and fully intend to send them in to have them formally attributed, if possible. I inquired at John Wexler via email several years ago but he did not seem interested at the time, as several of my finds which contain mint-produced hidden images, do not have categories within the known EV framework with which to include them. Still there are OMM's, DDO's, etc. etc. that I have attributed but that means nothing until they are assigned numbers by a recognized expert. It seems life goes on and I was always either too busy or broke over the years but still managed to acquire more coins to search which to me is more fun than the tedious process of getting them recognized. Plus I have post traumatic stress disorder and post traumatic selective amnesia from a prior military traumatic brain injury which are only now being acknowledged and dealt with by VA after some 48 years. I am very thankful for my coin hobby as it has often kept me active when I might otherwise have sunk into the abyss of clinical depression. Still, life only affords so much time to a hobby and I have several but my favorites are coins and green-prospecting/mining. The depicted 1919-D variety cent is at least a D/D/D in my opinion but would like to see it under a microscope at around 40X as there may be other impressions as well. It always amazes me that some E/V coins can remain in circulation for so long before being discovered. I am thankful for the valuable links you provided here but am also apprehensive about sending coins through the mail and unable to know how much to insure things for, especially if none are known to exist and there is no means to determine approximate value. We are located in western SD so the closest large shows are normally in Denver, but that would make more sense to take these to one of these shows, or even to Colorado Springs, or even Las Vegas, NV. Is there any way to know now, after Covid19, which shows might have a formal expert attributor whereby one might be able to submit coins and perhaps even have them attributed and perhaps certified? I do not fly anymore but can drive within reason. Sometimes a few well known people in the hobby come across to me as arrogant and egotistical at shows, but most have been very helpful especially if I am spending money with them. I used to have great dealings with JT Stanton but only recently learned of his untimely (2018?) passing -- may he RIP! Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

My thoughts are split ... It could be a triple mm or it could be a Die clash ...? I would look for signs of a die clash. If there are none, it should be considered a TRPM

I think one your videos said nothing later than 85 could be repunched mintmark doubling or something and not sure something new but I found 1990D with another D but not on original and punched off beside it. Just noticed have a small date 82 with double d.

Its called counter stamped- long ago businesses would do this to advertise- there are many different types out there- they are not particularly valuable except to maybe those who collect them specifically but they are a cool find!

I absolutely love this kid on couch collectables matter of fact it was his recommendation of checkin out CoinOpp that turned me in to one of ur subscribers as well. I Wish I could donate to both of u for ur service of informing us amateurs but cant spare the money well, not till I find a special money maker anyway, during my searching. Tee hee. I don't think u can enter the coin giveaways unless u send a small donation. Anywho, thanks again for ur expertise, education, and genuine excitement that both channels have for a "not so cool" hobby. My kids even make fun of me😁calling me a dork or nerd. Coin Opp, I tend to agree with your summation of this coin. It is obvious that it has some wear marks and such, but it is also obvious that there is more than one strike. The fact that the guy found two coins alike could mean that someone purposely did this to the coins to make them look valuable, (but highly unlikely). Do you know if he found the two coins within the same general area or state? It will be interesting to see what the appraisers say, eh?
