Don't beat yourself up over this layout. I think it turned out wonderful! Keep sharing.

Thank you! I'm not beating myself up...anymore. LOL. The perfectionist in me wants it perfect, but now I'm happy that it's documented and in my album :)

Out of all the layouts I have seen using the circles, I think yours is by far the prettiest. I love everything about it, the soft colors, the snow at the bottom, the addition of ink under the snowflakes, and the purple elements...so pretty!!

Really great tips Jayma. I am definitely a fan of the walk away method lol. The suggestion of the circle on the opposite side was perfect, it really had a big impact and looks great.

Thank you! I love to walk away too. Usually I don't have to walk away THIS many times. LOL!

You’re definitely in good company! Even if I like the layout I often change things up if I get a better idea 😆

Great video! The layout turned out beautifully! I love the tips. I have too have found walking away sometimes rejuvenates the creativeness, usually a small adjustment becomes so obvious after a fresh, recalibrated review of the design. When we get bogged down with frustration, impatience, or discouragement it can be hard to move or see past that. It was so great to watch you work through this layout and the difficulties. It's is so real and nice to see I'm not the only one who can sometimes struggle for a day or so with simply creating a scrapbook layout and then when everything finally comes together still not be 100% happy with it. I bet 90% of the dissatisfaction is actually to do with the process and not the final product. Your layout is beautiful...as always :)

Thank you! You are so right! I bet a lot of it is the process. And it’s amazing how walking away and coming back is like having completely fresh eyes!

That Silvery Paper from your stash is GORGEOUS! I agree with you on the photos not being matted. LOVE how you added ink behind the snowflakes to make them stand out more (have to remember this). The circles brought to the other side makes SO MUCH SENSE! LOVE your clusters :0)

I’m really hearing your frustration because that’s me with almost every layout! 🤣🤣 But I just love how this turned out…and I think the circle elements on the other page was the perfect solution.

Aw I am sorry that’s how every layout is for you! It’s hard when it doesn’t go the way you thought it would. Hopefully some of these tips help you!

I think your layout is beautiful! Walking away is the best tip & I do that too! Last weekend I dismantled a whole page because I wasn’t feeling it & fixed it after a good nights sleep. Still not my favorite, but the memory is captured & that is what’s important to me!🙂

Exactly! It is soooo helpful to look with fresh eyes. I do copywriting for work and it helps with that as well! Time to move on to the next memory to document! 😍

Good tips when not liking layouts. I always get outdone with myself when I keep on and don’t take a break! I have, on occasion, taken it all apart and started over!!! I think yours turned out good, especially embellishments around your circles. It all came together. Liked it very much!

Thanks so much. Taking a break is definitely a good thing.

I am with you in regards to the round photos as it took me back a few years ago when circle photos was fashionable & I never liked my pages. I was thinking that what they needed was a camera around them so that it looked like you were looking down the lens. However when you put the circle on the other page, wow!! what a change to the layout, so yes, I love your finished layout & when you showed the one it was supposed to be, all I thought was yuk!! I couldn't live with it. So I think the colours you used enhanced the pages plus I really didn't like the mountains & wouldn't have used them on my layouts. Your finished pages do not look busy at all but beautifully balanced.

I think that's totally what it was...the circles are not fashionable any more. I did a layout with clusters of circles in my last "Kill a Kit" series and really liked it, though, so I guess it depends on the application of the circles. These were spread out too weird for me. Thanks so much for your nice note...I am glad you like the end result. Hope it inspired you in some way, albeit not the usual type of inspiration that comes from me. LOL!

I really liked seeing the process you went through & how you improved on your layout as you worked with it. It’s definitely cuter than the original version of how the layout was supposed to be. If I had only one criticism of CTMH, it would be how plain their artwork can be. I’d love to see them work with more elements in their examples. Thank goodness for you guys to give us more inspiration ❤️
