For activating the Festool vac with a cordless tool- I installed the bluetooth module in my vac (very easy to do) then instead of putting the dongle/remote on the hose, I put it in my shirt pocket where I can press it on or off through the shirt.

there is a city literaly named Asbestos 1.5 hour from me. Hi from Montreal, Canada! a quick trick with vinyle tiling here. 9x9 tiles almost all contain asbestos. old 8x8, 10x10 and 12x12 can also countain some... but its pretty rare. there is asbestos often on old plumbing insolation. the absolute worst is insolation (as when its removed its quite volatile) Vinyle-Asbestos Tiling is not the end of the world. :) there is quite a lot of Asbestos in old Quebec buildings here... don't panic, its gonna be alright :)

Hi I bumped into you about a month ago and showed you my AWS receivers. You don't need to make both chips flash green. Just press the one on the saw till it flashes blue then you are good to go. The one down side is if you have multiple tools or vacuums all the ones that are paired will start. You can use this to your advantage though by putting a y junction on the vacuum and running 2 hoses if the tools them selves have good extraction. I do this on my dropsaw and skill saw.

I thought in NZ you can remove up to 10m2 of asbestos yourself, as long as you follow the correct safety measures. Disposable overalls, gloves, goggles and correct respirator. All asbestos is kept wet while removal and double bagged in thick pioythene, tapping all joints and disposing rubbish to an approved site

I'm on lock down here in California too. Stay safe! For your zip wall, don't bother with the plywood on the ceiling. You can stretch the plastic super tight with just the poles. Its a lot simpler than trying to get anti split on the plywood then have that pinched against the ceiling. Its a great system.

Good job; next time, make sure to sample the mastic (glue) which is usually beneath vinyl tile, as that is often suspect for asbestos too. If that is asbestos, then the layers above it have to be treated as asbestos material as there is no way to remove everything else and the glue layer without disturbing the glue

Hey Scott Regarding the asbestos: what if the owner would go in the house after a hours and remove the asbestos, out it in a bag, lock it and put it in the waste bin? Meanwhile he gives the area a good vacuum and you cannot see anything when you arrive the next day. When I lived in Upper Hutt I knew of builders who would do it in that way and let the owner go to the tip with renovation waste and dump their trailer full of rubbish. One checked it and for $25 you were done and dusted compared to your $3000 and more.

80 containers of hand sanitizer is not hoarding, that's surely intended for selling online at inflated prices. Funny thing about that guys doing similar things in the States are being both stopped by Amazon & EBay and some are being criminally prosecuted. Turns out price gouging is illegal.

@@MsElijah16 Overloads the sewers so if we had big rain and all the rain water went into the sewers it would flood them and put sewerage into the streets, but it was common back in the day so if it is original then its not illegal and only needs updating if a building consent requires to my knowledge. That unit of mine you visited had the exact same thing.

Intact asbestos is safe, powered asbestos is unsafe. If you are leaving it in place you can spray it with some acrylic paint in a spray bottle to encapsulate the fibers. Worksafe have a full worksheet about it. It also sets out who can do what type and amount of work. Often removing it is more dangerous than leaving it alone as you create dust. That said I got rid of it. ARENZ in Mt Wellington sell all the gear and heavy bags and even hire the right cleaner. I found them awesome. Only issue was the mask gave me a hell of a saw throat as it dries out all the air as well as removing fibers.
