What I am having a real hard time accepting is that I was rejected, and I would move on if it wasn't for the fact that they have sellers selling my designs, they stole from me. I had to file copyright reports several times. I can't sell there, but thieves, not only are allowed, but their stores don't get removed. It's really hard to look past that.

It sounds to me like Amazon is just not accepting new merch applicants right now since so many people have commented about getting rejected. This makes it extremely unfair that you can't reapply. If it was a fair system you could reapply again after a certain time period like 90 days or 6 months or whatever.

Thanks for the information. So I applied once and got denied unfortunately I had not watched The Helpful videos on getting accepted prior to that. My question is if I do reapply with a different email address, aren't they going to figure out that I'm the same person when they see my tax information? When I applied previously I didn't even have to fill out my tax information because they said they already had it from when I had created one notebook for Amazon KDP. It seems like there's just no way around that now😔

Merch by Amazon denied me sadly. I did Spreadshirt for a while, but get very few sales there. When I found redbubble I was so excited about their products and I started following other shops that I liked and had similar designs. Shortly after I followed another shop, my account was suspended with no explanation...so I guess my warning for others is, don't follow others. Maybe another artist complained about my art being similar to theirs and then the new little guy was immediately squashed. Who knows? Either way it was devastating after getting so excited that my art could be on a bedspread or shower curtain or wall clock. Redbubble really seems cool, but they dropped me. I've been trying ETSY for over a year and only have 10 sales....so I'm still on the struggle bus.

Etsy is absolute shit. It has been suspending accounts left and right without notice nor reason (and not just new shops). My shops got suspended for absolutely no reason at all, I genuienly don't know which one of them caused the apocalypse. No policy infrigement, no copyright infringement (I'm VERY paranoid about trademark and do my due diligence) meanwhile hundreds of shops are posting Disney left and right, making bestsellers, with no consequences. My appeal got rejected so there's that. I'm trying Amazon Merch now, here's to hoping I get in

I have an interesting situation. I was recently approved for merch by amazon (🎉), but the real shocker - and I’m not making this up - is that I was immediately placed into Tier 1000. I’ve never heard of this happening and keep waiting for the “oops, we made a mistake” email from Amazon. But in the meantime, I’m uploading every design I already have from other POD platforms I sell on and any quick ones I can think of. While I’m still in a state of shock over the whole situation, I will say I’m already a little tired of the TM research for each design. Honestly, it feels like every single word in the English language has been trademarked already… 😅 Anyway, I see a *lot* of Tier 10/25 advice on KZbin, but very little Tier 1000 advice, especially for clueless noobs like me. Wow! That is crazy! The nice thing about you being in a higher tier is you can focus on putting new designs up daily just as you would in a lower tier, but you won’t have to delete and cycle through them.

I've reapplied to Merch by Amazon about 8 times, using different email addresses from my normal Amazon account, which I used on the first application that was rejected. After I get rejected, I close the account and after a few days recreate a new Amazon account. However, now when I try to create a new Amazon account, it wants a cell number in addition to an email address. I can't use my actual cell number since that is associated with my normal Amazon account. I also can't use my Google Voice number or a Burner mobile number, because the Amazon confirmation process use short SMS and those two don't support it. It has to be an actual cell phone number and I only have the one cell phone. Kind of stuck. I do have an Etsy shop, but wanted a Merch by Amazon account too.

I found that I needed to clear my browser cache, then when I recreate my Amazon account, it doesn't ask for a cell number. It does ask for a cell number when applying for Merch by Amazon, but it doesn't stop me from applying. So, if anyone else has this issue, try clearing your cache. Crossing fingers for try #9.

@@PaulBarberMpls Sounds like it will be impossible. My guess is it works in cycles, sometimes they let people in based on Data, if there is more Traffic on Amazon, if economic conditions are good. I say that becouse now it seems like everyone is getting rejected, 3x of my Friends applyed in the same week and they all got the same rejection the same day at the exact time, its a Automated response. They dont want too many sellers/Designers if Consumer sentiment is down. Supply (products) wouldent fit the demand with too many Designers The only thing we can do is keep trying but having realistic expectations

The problem i have with redbbuble is its so ungodly slow. Do you also have this? Like not in sales but physically slow. Its like using dial up again. Ive tried multiple browsers, machines and ISP connections lol.

Something funny with Amazon merch, I was accepted years ago like 2016-17 but I did nothing with it. I recently reapplied and they denied me. I'm from New York, USA so it's not because I'm overseas or anything and I also have a EIN business ID because I created a company for my Etsy shop back i 2019 to collect sales tax. I know 100% Amazon Merch is a great opportunity and I've seen KZbinrs who are newer to merch and older with huge success on merch (those who know what they are doing). I have great ideas and understand all of POD has to really do with Titles and Tags and SEO, not just designs. Sell what's already selling pretty much and do it consistently. I'm starting my social media and my website soon for a brand I'm creating to show amazon while I work on my shop to sell on there also. I think they've become more selective and I personally believe most people accepted don't do well on Amazon or do much at all which is why they've become more selective. You could easily only sell on Amazon merch and make 6 figures a year. I like expanding and having multiple sources of pay with a brand so I want to be on Amazon merch.

I just told them that i'm gonna do on their platform(tshirt designs). At the time i din't have a store on any other platform. I applied about a month ago and my store was activated about 2 weeks later. I need to mention that i'm from Romania(Europe), maybe this helped.
