Dont give up! I had severe migraines for over 8 years so bad that i lost part of my vision temporarily due to swelling. I was healed in one day. God also healed me from severe pelvic issues. I had it for 2 years. Thousands of dollars and couldn't find the problem. I was reading Andrew Womack book Youve Already Got It. The scripture "you shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover" just leaped off the page to me. I went to my good friend and told her that because she was a Believer the word said she could lay hands. I was healed that day a few hours after. Has your son read any of Andrews books or watch his healing conferences? Maybe in reading and listening he can get the scriptures deep in him and stand in faith. No judgement here, just a suggestion. Ive dealt with a lot of illness in the past and am currently as well.

Many people find it comforting to believe that someone else is looking out for them, watching over them, and guiding them gently through the path of life. Indeed, life would be so much simpler if someone else were responsible for our destiny, for countering evil with good, ensuring that caring people enjoy a comfortable afterlife. Success in life requires hard work and logical thinking, and these are the values you must strive for.

Is that how you ask the person without legs to pray? Does that person just say, “my legs are there, my legs are there, my legs are there?” You just think or pray that into being? Do you see the issue with that? Not everyone can pray that prayer. And I never heard Jesus teach us to do that. God can heal anything, anytime. But He does not.

I have prayed and believed for my healing along with prayers from others since my kids were toddlers.They r now 34 and 32 yrs old. Hard to hang on to prayer after 30 yrs. I am beyond frustrated and angry at times. My motto has been “do or die.”. Years pass me by unfulfilled, time spent researching ways to heal and so much $$$$ spent that I didn’t have to spend .Year after year life is passing me by. Suggestions?? What do I do? It’s harder to believe for my healing as time goes on.

Kathleen, I can tell that you’re a warrior too. One of the healing ministries has said to me that we must seek the Lord in prayer asking for healing as many times and a fervently as a dog runs after a bone and brings it back to its master. But I see it differently. He can, but does not control everything. He lets natural consequences of sin, your own sin, or that being done against you, or your parents, or their parents. We are barring the burden of some kind of sin in my opinion. His forgiveness does not always heal the damage it causes. We must wait on His timing for healing. I know what it’s like to wait for that, for 30 years. I have asked, I have cried, I have confessed, I have begged the Lord to take this cup from me. His answer has been no. So I wait on God. I consider that I know nothing about His timing. I try very hard to think of heavenly things to my detriment. I am jealous of those who get to go home to be with him. So I wait for Him. And I try to do the jobs He’s given me to the best of my ability. I don’t believe that if 100 people pray, as opposed to one person who prays with real heart and faith, we change the will of the Father. He knows what’s going on. Certainly He wants us to ask and to turn towards Him, away from any willful sin. Who wants to stay in willful sin? No matter what pious people claim about their lives, ALL people fall short of His glory. How can one “not be in want”, “have contentment with everything”, “have joy in all things”, at the same time as when one is being inflicted with pain? -95% of ones waking hours? I do not know. It may be in Heaven that He answers our prayers. My dream has always been that I could hold on and persevere, always giving honor and praise to Him, while hurting at this crazy level, ALL these years, so that He could miraculously heal me and so that my family and children and ALL could see what HE DID, so that He could get the praise snd the glory. But I grow weary. Very weary.

Many of us may hv to wait till Heaven to get new bodies. My life is utter pain and misery. But I’m expected to smile, to laugh, and to do things that are not within my power. Whatever good is in me, it is the Lord. And whatever it is that I am able to do at all, it is a miracle. When I get a load of dishes done, I literally feel like Rocky Balboa.

I love this teaching! Very encouraging! Question: Twice Carlie said the devil is listening to our prayers. I am wondering about this. Is there not a holy place in the throne room of God? (Hebrews 4:16) ...in the secret place of the Most High, (Ps 91:1). I can't believe that satan would be there. But, there is maybe some other aspect of prayer that she is referring to?

Our prayers go into the spiritual realm. The spaces around us is part of the spiritual realm. Both angels and demons exist in those spiritual spaces! Quality Praise & worship sends demons away; even better a heart of worship and thankfulness. Praying the word, sabotages the enemy’s interruption. This is why praying in tongues is awesome. Only God can understand tongues. My understanding is that “The secret place” is not a physical place but it is the place (our heart) of our intimate relationship with the Lord. Holy Spirit (God) lives in us so our prayers don’t have to travel to heaven. Hope that helps. Love you & Blessings.
