First of all there not cremated ashes There cremated remains. The term ASHES refers to the remnants of residue CASKET ASH. I worked in a Cemetery for 10 years and know this for a fact.

realtome100 Aren't the bones left from the cremation placed in a machine and ground into a tiny pebbles?. Then given to the family. The coffin ash is not given to the family it is disposed of.

You should not spread the ashes. This is the deceased body. They should be buried to keep the body together. In a cemetery as well with a marker for rememberence.
