Been doing this from past 9 mnths and adopting zero wastage life partially. I found this gold compost too useful for plants. Also add neem leaves and aloe Vera for a good pesticide also along with nutrition. If u dnt have dry leaves u can go for plain brown paper. Let's try for zero waste earth

Great! Those who are unable to get dry leaves can use cartons (the brown boxes you get from Amazon, Flipkart delivery guys). To use, shred them into small pieces, soak them in water, and you're done.

Composting is amazing. However, I feel that in India, a better way to deal with kitchen waste is to store them separately and feed them to the stray cows everyday, without any plastic bag. This will solve two problems: lessen the hunger of these animals and deal with kitchen waste completely. I have been doing this everyday for the last 3 years. The fruit and vegetables which are not edible for cows can be composted. Just a food for thought. Keep up the good work!

I've done that since 2004. Thry were smelly but a very good fertilizer. They make the soil fertile and produced lots of fruits or flowers and also vegetables. I am still making them as my friends asked for them.

After watching vani murthy composting videos I started segregating my wet and dry waste, send dry waste to recycling company called bintix. Compost all my wet waste in two 50 lts bin at home. I dont have to wait for the municipality to pick up my waste and they often complain that my bin lies empty most of the time. Thank to Vani Murthy and team.

Have been a ardent nature lover...now after marriage shifted to NCR..from a small town..had seen my mother doing in backyard..of kitchen..lived in large house...so when came here ..wanted to do it . I have started composting since two weeks now. It is exciting and I look forward to collecting kitchen scraps each day. We are following one more thing to reduce kitchen waste i.e feeding stray animal. From years, we collect vegetables and fruit peels, unused food in a steel container on regular basis and feed the same to stray cows and bulls. We have many stray pets around us looking for food, Our waste can be someone food. Now, we will prepare compost from other waste that cannot be fed to stray animals. This will solve two problems.

Anujji many times I hv seem that municipal workers themselves burn dry leaves adding to the pollution. Municipal gardens could be self sufficient for compost but don't know why they who are supposed to be responsible are in fact not.

Do not remove skin of the vegetables it has nutrients. Most people remove it. Steam is the right way to cook vegetables. This video was also informative 👍.

Right - ONLY IF the vegetables are grown organically. Reality is quite different. Fruits and Vegetables are heavily sprayed. Many are ripened artificially with chemicals. Example grapes are so heavily sprayed that the throat usually reacts badly if grapes are eaten with the skin.
