@@ditchdatcurve9370 this is true and I also feel your frustration about this problem, but just remember it all starts with one small step in the right direction. If all of the people that have commented positively and feel passionate about this person’s creative ideas on fixing the issue, than they will implement the same mindset in their own homes and by setting an example to family, friends, and community those people will start doing the same to protect and advocate for our Mother Earth. My mother used to say that you can’t lose your mind trying to solve the world’s problems because man has created this terrible mess. You just have to do the right thing yourself and do the best you can to make positive changes in your own little corner of the world, and by setting a good example for those around you they will in turn eventually do the same in making positive changes in their own little corner of the world. It’s like a stone hitting the water where it starts with one and the ripple effect spreads out further and further with the effort and passion the stone thrower uses to hit the water with the stone.😉 If everyone did their part with just a bit of effort then it wouldn’t be in the state it currently is now. Its now incredibly overwhelming but not impossible to fix or reverse if we all work together for positive change. I was trying to find such an organisation that would collect single use plastic wrappers and reuse them to make something , I used to collect such wrappers in a huge bag back in 2010 and every one including my family made fun of me, I tried crafting with them and did many other things, but eventually I had to toss them into the landfill....now that I know where to send all of it...thank you so much for such a useful video...it is a must watch for every individual

Same here, collecting wrappers (to recycle) since 2019, found no kabariwallas who accept wrappers. Finally this organisation is the solution. And yes, my family also makes fun of me to store these garbage

Large FMCG companies made almost everything plastic wrapped. Just before few years ago, we were getting bevarages in glass bottles and snacks in tin containers. These companies turned to plastic to bag more profits from the sales, and in India no one really was (and is) bothered. This problem should be resolved at root level. I have seen in some parts of Europe, people are not allowed to carry plastic bottles or plastic bags. This is a great idea 👍, however the labour and water resources used further, does not add to ultimate solution. For example, how small wrapper can be recycled, we can't recycle the wrappers used for toffies or candies.

Very good initiative and it solves so many problems in the process. I started waste segregation 4-5 years ago with our house waste and even today only my mother still keeps mixing recyclable waste with kitchen waste, so we have to check the dustbin every day before giving it to the waste collection team. It's so hard to convince some people to understand common sense.

This reminds me of when I was a little kid and my mother would would make rugs from bread bags. It was very popular during the 60 and 70's. I've actually started doing it again with bread bags and other items to recycle.
