Oh my…6 months ago?? I JUST found you. I bought moon cactus for my daughter, and the top of one (a red color, I think), died, and the stem of it is turning a really light yellow green. I guess I’m gonna cut off the top and wait and see what it would do. I hope you’ll make more videos, Sir - I just subscribed.

Just lightly dampen the soil at the time of placing cutting in and let it go dry before dampening it again

Why do you let it sit for a few days before replanting? I've never had to do that before.

With the open cut it can start rot. If you let it sit a few days it will Callus.

I water my mix lightly before placing my cutting then let the mix dry out before watering again

You can try to cut it off and let it dry for a few days then put it in some cactus 🌵 mix to see if it will root. Never tried it let me know how it goes. Sorry I could not be of more help

My Cactus that I assume is a Moon Cactus has been alive for like a good 2-3 years but I knocked the head off with a soccer ball- It just started growing more green parts like crazy and now it's got like 3 different columns of just straight green plant part, idk what to do cause I think there's too much green that it doesnt have enough nutrients to keep distribhting to everywhere and the plant is slightly burning in places cause it's too hot, am I supposed to cut it so it can grow better? (I'm assuming my cactus is a Moon Cactus because it looks like all the other images of Moon Cactuses before I knocked the top off with a ball Also I saw someone growing it indoors is that possible?

Yes, a moon cactus is 2 cactus been grafted together and now what you have is a cactus. That is a dragon fruit cactus can be grown indoors, and yes, you do have to trim a lot of the extra limbs off, and it will need a lot of support

Give it a lot of sunlight if it has been in the home just a little each day slowly a little more each week and a little water base fertilize keep above 45°f

Thank you! How often would you water the rootstock? The flower just died so I cut it and now I’m left with the rootstock which I don’t want it to die. I don’t know if I should water right away I just repotted it Thanks!

I got to share this. The red grafted part got muskie so cut it off. The little red parts dried up. A week or 2 ago I dropped 2 in a glass of water. Today I noticed some roots growing.. I can't believe it. 😅😅😅

Just keep taking care of the bottom and it should put back out it may take a few months don't give up

The top if my moon cactus died so I cut it off and now, on a top corner of the remaining cactus, I have a skinny, new growth. It's super skinny and long so I'm wondering what I should do with the new growth. I'm afraid it will get knocked off!?!!!
