Hallo Rob, I think, Walmart is a company you can trust. But I don't find Information about what the job is like. How many trailers do you have to pick up per week ? Or per day ? How many different clients / shops do you have to approach ? I don't like driving the same road all the time. How many kilometers do you have to drive every day ? How does your day looks like ? What are you doing exactly in one week ? How big is the radius you are driving in ? I like to drive in Canada for minimum 1 or 2 years in late summer 2020. More than 10 years experience OTR with tractor trailer combination. Nice greetings from Germany !

I am 55. The only company I want to work for is Walmart. I want to retire from them one day. I have a CDL school bus license now. I have been driving bus for 5 years. How do I get certified to drive trucks like the ones Walmart uses?. I know I will need to work Elsewhere prior to Walmart. How many years will it take before I could work for Walmart at a minimum? At a maximum? Is it crazy to try and start this CDL career at 55? I have an Economics degree from Syracuse University. Does this make a difference? Basically am I too old to start all this with Walmart employment in mind as my ultimate goal? Thanks.

No. It’s not to crazy. Follow your dreams is what I say. 30 months of driving experience minimum. Don’t let no one tell you your to old or it’s out of reach.

Before you criticize me about not sharing the pay info. I suggest you look at every video I have made first. I’ve shared it on social media. Oh and about the recruiting bonus and helping the process. Well let’s say I don’t really see anything of it since I do live in California and taxes are outrageous here. An as helping the process, I get my information from the rock. Where do you get yours? @Robert_Cedillos5 жыл бұрын
Sidney Holt so Walmart does not hire neebees. But you could look to going to to a truck driving school and getting your class a first. Do your homework and see what company suits you best as a starting company. Walmart requires 30 months before considering you for a position

Hey Rob, first of all, thank you for the videos. I was curious how many hours (on duty & driving combined) a typical work week entails? If you need an example schedule say 5 out 2 off. The website says 8-10 hours driving a day but I've heard conflicting reports. I understand there are always unforeseen circumstances, just looking for your direct experience and/or rule of thumb. Do they expect you to run your 14 hours out every day? Also, I'm in NY state looking at the Marcy, D.C. I currently don't have a hazmat endorsement as I let it lapse. The original plan was to get the hazmat endorsement again before I applied. However, due to this pandemic all of the D.M.V.'s are closed to the public so I couldn't take the test again even if I wanted to. Have you heard any whispers of the transportation department extending the time permitted to obtain a hazmat after the hire date due to covid?
@Robert_Cedillos4 жыл бұрын
I have not. But it is different here in California than New York. But I would check the dmv website frequently if I where you. Stay on top of it. Now you are the captain of your ship. You make any and all decisions to how you run your truck. Safety is always first.
