Went today and definitely thought the whole thing was a miss, they rush you through everything and let too many people in at once. So many cool things to do in Tokyo I would skip this.

i had no one rushing me through in my experience - i was free to take as long as i liked. i even went through a second time because no one checks. maybe i just got lucky? idk

haven't been there personally but I heard that its better to go in the morning/around when it opens/early cause it smells like feet by the end of the day i'd still go, have fun if you do

the barefoot is such a turn off tbh what if someone has a fungal feet infection? I'd probably still go though but i would LATHER on some anti fungal foot cream as soon as i get home.

No way in hell I would go barefoot. Someone probably has an infection and the foot bath will not prevent them from spreading it

Chlorine is a highly effective disinfectant. It’s used to cure wastewater of pathogens and used as a treatment for eczema, boils and infected wounds so whatever people have going on with their feet, isn’t going to last very long especially if you’re in there for longer than 30 seconds. It’s totally cool if you don’t wanna do it because of feet, but the bath itself IS effective.

you’re like a billion times less likely to get a foot infection after a chlorine bath than you are to get covid or the flu rn just going to a store
